Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Might as well get it started.
KingPK Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Joey Porter decided to be a moron and get into a fight with William Green before the game, getting them both ejected. Way to help out your teams, guys. I'd rather have that game instead of Jets/Ravens, at least.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Martz ran 13 straight passing plays to start the game. Rams are already up 14-0. Gotta say, it was pretty funny seeing the Rams run play-action, even though they hadn't run the ball the entire game.
Art Sandusky Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I've got Falcons/Buccaneers and Jets/Ravens. Packers/Vikings isn't until 4:15, but instead of getting to see what should be a great game between bitter divisional rivals, I get a CLASH OF THE TITANS~ when the unstoppable Carolina Panthers face the Immovable San Francisco 49ers. I hate living here during football season sometimes.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Ugh, Hasselbeck throws an INT in the endzone.
Art Sandusky Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I always said Hasselback would be cursed forever after his "we're gonna score, we're gonna win!" line.
razazteca Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Two running plays to kill the clock then Martz goes back to the long pass.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 He started the season strong...but in the games the Seahawks lost, he's made some pretty bad mistakes. Like this terrible audible lob->interception that made Holmgren lose it on the sideline. The Rams offense is looking very good. Steve Jackson will be a star.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Holmgren's a great coach... but any Packer fan will tell you that his clock management absolutely sucks and he's susceptible to making some really bad calls. He tends to play favorites, which is alright if you have Brett Favre.. Not Matt Hasselbeck. Here's a list of where to at the Pack's website: http://www.packers.com/multimedia/tv_and_radio/state/ I usually go to this awesome little Irish pub and I've met quite a few other cheeseheads in a pretty Dolphin-rabid town.
Art Sandusky Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 See, I would do that if I wasn't already going to the same sports bar for the wrestling PPV tonight.
Slayer Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I'm not even watching the two noon games right now, I'm just waiting for Vikings-Packers at 3. Can't say much except the Vikes need to win, of course, both for the big picture (division) and the small picture (to shut up the dynamic trio of Pack fans here... if only for five minutes)
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I'm being forced to watch the dazzling St. Louis/Seattle game. If I want to see ineptitude, I'd just look in the mirror. I don't like Bengals playing at 4:15 on the EAST Coast.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Chicago/Tennessee has to be one of the worst football games I've seen in a long while. Ok Dallas/Washington MNF was way worse but this is still a boring game.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Chicago vs anyone is bad. Chicago/San Fran was pretty brutal.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 The Columbus, Ohio Fox station is terrible. They always make the most god awful picks for games. I remember back when Carolina and San Fransico were fighting it out for the division in the mid 90s we got Dallas/Arizona. We always seem to end up with all the Dallas games for some reason. No matter what I'm always stuck seeing Dallas 12 times a year.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Whatta you do when you're up 14-0, on the 17 yard line? Have your backup RB throw an interception!
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Hey man, just be glad Quincey Carter's only thrown 1 so far. EDIT: And it's the Ravens. 14 is probably enough to win.
LaParkaMarka Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 For fuck's sake. They have Shaun Alexander, one of the best RBs in the league. But they constantly throw; either Hasselbeck can't deliver, or the receivers just can't run their routes. 4th and 1, and they give it to Mack Strong?!?! Shaun Alexander wasn't even on the field! Ugh.
Cartman Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Whatta you do when you're up 14-0, on the 17 yard line? Have your backup RB throw an interception! Worst coach in NFL...now that Wanny quit Miami.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I wouldn't say that, but he did have a brain freeze.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Whatta you do when you're up 14-0, on the 17 yard line? Have your backup RB throw an interception! Worst coach in NFL...now that Wanny quit Miami. Martz and Mike Sherman are still much worse than Herman Edwards could ever hope to be.
Cartman Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Ok, that's true...but I really think the Jets would better themselves by firing Edwards and hiring Weis or Crennel next year...both want to leave for Head Coaching jobs and both are very qualified.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Herman Edwards isn't bad at all.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 The team has consistently underachieved under his coaching though.
Brett Favre Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 They lost to the Raiders 2 years ago in a divisional playoff game, and he has a pass for last year. He's doing alright.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 They were a 12-4 team that played themselves into a 9-7 record that year. They've consistently played below their talent level under him. The Buccs did well under Dungy but they didn't get over the hump until they brought someone else in.
The Czech Republic Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 R.W. McQuarters! Nice. Bears lead 14-7. I miss white pants.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 Whatta you do when you're up 14-0, on the 17 yard line? Have your backup RB throw an interception! Worst coach in NFL...now that Wanny quit Miami. Martz and Mike Sherman are still much worse than Herman Edwards could ever hope to be. Sherman is a good coach. Not exactly a fiery guy, but extremely detailed although coaches kind of conservatively. He's a horrible GM though. Martz is a pompous arrogant prick, but he's no worse than Brian Billick except that Martz is just VERY VERY stubborn about adjusting to how another team plays.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 The Buccs did well under Dungy but they didn't get over the hump until they brought someone else in. And exactly how well are the Bucs playing now? It's really a whole different team, but Gruden got over the "hump" with much the same players and schemes. Some people in Green Bay want Sherman's ass fired, I strongly disagree with that (of course now all that talk has hushed since they've gone on their 3 game winning streak.. and if they happen to make anywhere deep into the playoffs this year, you can consider him a strong candidate for coach of the year as well). However if they wanted to bring in another guy to coach, I'd bring in Monte "ARRR" Kiffin from the Bucs. I miss great defense in green and gold.
