The NFL Week 10 OAO Thread

Recommended Posts

This is almost a carbon copy of the first game: the Bills D is at least keeping them relatively in it, but the offense can't do ANYTHING.

*Awaits Bledsoe fumbling and Seymour returning it for a TD*

Remember the SI cover from the beginning of the '03 season with fat Sam Adams running in a TD?

That seems like so long ago now

"Cut that meat!"

"Cut that meat!"

"Cut that meat!"

I never stop laughing at that.

And to top it all.....Brady really hasn't had that great of a game. He's missed about 4 or 5 wide open passes, and he just threw a horrible pick.

The whole Bills offense is sad to watch right now.

EDIT: Their defense isn't looking too good right now, either. But that's probably because they're dead tired since the offense can't stay on the field.

Ow....that's not good for Bruschi. And he's walking off on his own. Lucky man.

Losman fumbles. Welcome to the NFL, rook.

Well, that was a whoopin'. This puts the Pats and Steelers on equal ground as far as I'm concerned (ok, I'll put Pittsburgh at 1 and NE at 1A because of the H2H).

I forgot to mention this during halftime of yesterday's Green Bay-Minnesota game:

Badger antics: The University of Wisconsin Marching Band made their annual pilgrimage to Lambeau Field and left a lasting impression on Viking villian Chris Hovan . As the Badger band played their pre-game show, part of the formation was just feet away from the Vikings sideline. Hovan refused to give any ground as he stood at the very edge of the Vikings' designated turf. When a slide trombone brushed Hovan, he appeared to hassle one of the sideline conductors. The Badger conductor, standing about a foot shorter than Hovan and without the benefit of a helmet or pads, just smiled and kept conducting.

Later, the always zany tuba section displayed a message for injured WR Randy Moss . Their spelling of "Where you at, Moss?" drew a grin and applause from the Vikings' sidelined receiver.

That was great.

Playing Washington's offense is going to give the Bengals defense a huge pyschological edge going into their slughtering against Pittsburgh next week. So they should stay alive for the first couple drives next week, that'd be a huge improvement after the first game for them.

I think the Bengals will play Pittsburgh close. This is the same time last year the Bengals had a home game facing a team with the longest winning streak in the league, and the Bengals can get their record to 5-5.

I won't "guarantee" it though.

Is it safe to say the Vikings are going to miss the playoffs again this year?

No.  The NFC is so bad that the Vikings should be able to limp in at 9-7.  Seattle and Minnesota should be the wild card teams.

"it's not bad, it's parity"

No, its because aside from Philly, the top teams are in the AFC. The Pats, Broncs, Steelers, Colts, Ravens and possibly the Jets are all better than the #2 NFC team (Atlanta).

The Broncos are most certainly not better than the Falcons...Vick and Co. trashed them by 2 TDs in Denver.

The Eagles still have some possible tough games left, but the Falcons have the Saints twice, Panthers, a fading Giants, Bucs again, etc. Seahawks is really the only game that they probably would lose, and even that one is winnable.
