The best commercial ever.......

Red Stripe, it's beer! Hooray beer!

Yeah the newer Red Stripe commercials with the jamaican guys are great, and they're rarely shown.

The recent Guinness ads are pretty good as well. "GENIUS!"

Jack in the Box has a zillion commercials I love. (The one with the doctor talking about how healthy their new chedder cheese fries are come to mind) another one I think of when I think great commercial is the commercial for the first Evil Dead video game. Oh and the first WWF superbowl commercial was gold.

Edit: Oh and I love the Aflac Duck, so you all can eat me. (note if Michael Moore is reading I revoke that offer)

ESPN commercials are usually fucking great. The latest Sportscenter commercial with the mascot sitting in the waiting room next to the guy bouncing a ball on his tennis racket had me laughing quite a bit. But that's probably because I think mascots are the funniest things on Earth second only to monkies.

One of the all time greatest commercials, still, is the Robert Loggia orange juice commercial.

I forget the brand of OJ that was involved, but it was still hilarious.

Mom: Billy, why won't you drink your orange juice?

Billy: I don't want to!

Mom: Well, is there anyone who could convince you to drink your orange juice?

Billy: I don't know.....Robert Loggia?

*Robert Loggia suddenly walks into the kitchen via the backdoor*

Loggia: Drink your orange juice, kid. It's good.

*Billy eagerly starts drinking juice*

Billy: Thanks, Mr. Loggia!

Absolute GOLD, every time I see it.

That Pepsi Twist commercial from a couple years ago was pretty funny. It had a black dude but damned if I remember who it was, and he was with Hallie Eisenberg. I only remember bits and pieces, but the end made me laugh

*shilling*

Hallie: "...but I'm not really Hallie Eisenberg *unzip* I'm Halle Berry"

Guy: *gets "mhmm" look on face*

*more shilling*

Halle: "But I'm not really Halle Berry *unzip* I'm Barry Bostwick!"

Guy: "...who's Barry Bostwick?"

*Barry just shrugs*

Going back to the worst commercials as of late (inspired by my listening to the radio this morning)

I'm tired of all the Viagra and artificial testosterone (e.g. Testosene or whatever) commercials on the radio and TV ("Wild Thing"?) While I know it's a situation I may have to face some day, I do not want to hear about 40-50 year old men rediscovering their sexual vigor.

Wild Thing, is that you?

I'm sure the commercial works in terms of targeting its demographic, but you're right -- I HATE that commercial, as well as most, if not all, of those "boner" commercials.

"My guy takes Levitra." Ugh. I want to smack that bitch with a brick...

What about the ones with the 50s looking sitcom sets at the golf course and other such places (for a 'male growth supplement') ... where the line at the end is like...

"he'll surely have a happy partner waiting at the clubhouse" or whatever and that woman does the weird smile whilst holding the tray with iced tea.

Personally, I hate that recent Taco Bell commercial with the Zesty Chicken Bowl, or whatever they're calling it these days. Maybe it's just because I've worked in fast food before, but I find the promo particularly annoying. The workers can't start making it until someone orders it, so what does one hilarious customer do in front of his girlfriend? Why, he PRETENDS to order it, just so he could see this kid earning minimum-wage run back and forth, not sure of what to do. Then, at the end, we're supposed to be pleased that this guy got his comeuppance - because his unrealistically good-looking girlfriend PRETENDED to give him a piece of chicken but then ate it herself.

Oh, cruel irony! This guy must have surely learned the error of his ways!

Just terrible.

Those McDonalds commercials are simply awful. Cheesy, unfunny, and even racially condescending. How does one of the richest companies in the world have the worst commercials in the world?

ranks up there with the Herpes Outbreak Control Medicine commercials...for someone with herpes, these people sure look like they have a great life...

Ha. I wondered that myself. Plus, I think that herpes chick will be typecast as a result.

Bob Ryan, is that you?

Nah, there's already too many white guys posing as sports reporters.

And I must admit, I like the "Think outside the bun" line Taco Bell has, and some of their older commercials in this campaign were good, but it's time to come up with something new...

I happen to like the 'selfish player' Bud commercials. Also Ray Lewis draggin back the yellow line. "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT? HNYEARGH!"

Gotta agree with the chicken bowl commercial. He should have gotten slapped in the face with some scalding beans.

Geico's parody commercials have been pretty spot on, in imitation if nothing else.

When I hear that commercial, I imagine this lame 45 y/o guy looking in a mirror and seeing his equally lame 20 y/o self dressed up not unlike "Leisure Suit Larry"

Face it, there's some things even Viagra can't help you with

There's a set of anti-teen pregenancy ads running up here that make me laugh. They run back to back. They both have a big guy in a shirt that says "sex" on it. In the first one some one is trying to get into a building but the guy in the sex shirt holds him back and kicks his ass and it says "Sex holds you back." Then the next one the guy is on a skateboarding and the guy in the Sex shirt tackles him and runs off with the skateboard "Sex takes things away." Unintentional comedy gold.

As for those Truth ads....yee gods do I hate those. I've e-mailed them a few times and the response is always something like "So you aren't on board with us eh? Well that's cool. " Then they throw in some Did You Know Tobacco fact and end with something about it being crazy.

However, their first ads, Splode, H-bombs, etc. Were fucking gold. I miss those. GRAB A SPLODEEEEE

I hate commercials for Sonic

Not because they are bad, but because the food looks so god damn good and they STILL haven't bothered to build one near me!

It's like waving a carrot in front of a starving bunny. Bastards make me hungry for their food and I'd have to drive to West VA to GET IT.

The GEICO one with the squirrels and the Guinness "Brilliant! Brilliant!" commercials are my personal favorites.

Any good commercial will get old if shown in heavy rotation, but it's still a good commercial.

Am I just a perv, or does anyone else see the unintentional (i assume) humor in the new Holiday Gap commercials with Sarah Jessica Parker?

The bit of seemingly unintentional humor comes at the end of the ad. SJP while opening a gift box says "How do you share it" followed by the Gap logo a few seconds later.

The BK Spicy guy is back (after being replaced with some Subservient Chickens) but this time he's got Spongebob watches.

Absolutely hilarious.

if its any consolation, their burgers make you thirsty as hell, so you have to buy like 5 sodas for every one burger. Just go to Ralley's or Zip (if they have those anymore) or Steak n' Shake if there's any of those near you, it's pretty much the same thing. All Sonic has over them is that the people wear roller skates

One of my favorites is one for the Heineken keg can:

Guy's sitting on his patio, reading the paper.

"Hey Bob, toss me a cold one?"

Continues to read paper.

Keg comes flying at him, knocking him off the patio. His dog turns and watches as he falls.
