Guest Report post Posted November 20, 2004 It was funny that Croshere was the only guy not having shit thrown on him, to look from a different perspective. He got shit thrown at him too... He was just the last Pacer to leave the court. Don't play Michael Wilbon and make this into something it's not. I meant while he was walking through the tunnel. bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I didnt even see the beer on Artest until the replay. from some fans perspective, allthey saw was ARtest and Jackson throwing punches at fans, it all spiraled out of control. crazy as fuck, but both the beer cup throwing fan and jackson should be punished. Gert T 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 There should be NO ACTION taken against any of the players. There were 4 or 5 fans, and one of them was a HUGE motherfucker throwing punches at all of them. Jackson was trying to help out Artest. And Artest had every right to go into the stands. Every single player got absolutely pelted with shit on the way out. Detroit, as an organization, should be fined. The Pacers should receive no suspensions or fines, they did what anyone would do and that's protect themselves and their teammates. That logic is flawed on a few levels. First, what if someone actually came to the game with that nerd, if you see Jackson, who was not directly involved go after your friend, you could be just as obligated to enter the fight as well. If the fans cannot come onto the court without repercussions, then the players have to be punished too.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I like the asshole in the blue shirt throwing jabs at Artest while he is being restrained. When that guy was being restrained, Stephen Jackson came from behind and gave him some CRAZY hits. BTW... the next game between the two will be Christmas day in Indiana. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 TE, are you talking about the guy that Artest originally went after, because I was talking about the guy in the blue Wallace shirt. And if Jackson nailed him after the guy took shots at Artest more power to him.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I was talking about the guy who tryed to constrain Artest from behind from hitting the guy in the black shirt. He was wearing a hat too and started hitting Artest from behind until Palace staff pulled him off and Jackson came over to pound on him.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 That guy threw a beer at Artest too, but only after he was restrained by two people. And right after that Jackson came into the shot with the punch.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 That's crazy. But I mean shouldn't a professional athlete have a little bit more restraint than that? I mean yeah he threw a beer on him but still......oh wait it is Ron Artest.

Did not see the later video. But still more power to Jackson then.

Professional athletes are people too, I don't think that you would stay on the scorer's table if someone threw a beer at you either.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 After watching the video I have to say......this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Was Vince McMahon promoting?
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Had McMahon been booking, Scot Pollard would have ripped off his suit and cleaned house.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Nice to see the Pistons CEO dump it all onto Artest and say he was swinging wildly. Funny how he just appeared to swing at the one guy until he felt someone else take a shot at him.

CBright7831 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I hope someone put that up on the net Agreed. There's already one on the internet I can confirm, but it's just a replay and in very bad quality.
treble 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Are we even sure that the first guy Artest went after is the one who threw the beer/drink? And there's a difference between defending yourself and going into the stands and attacking fans. Whichever fan started this is mostly to blame, but Artest and whoever else deserve whatever they get from the league in fines and suspensions. Shake off getting the shit thrown and you and get up and leave. Artest does that and none of this would have happened.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Nice to see the Pistons CEO dump it all onto Artest and say he was swinging wildly. Funny how he just appeared to swing at the one guy until he felt someone else take a shot at him. Well, I don't think the Piston CEO would blame any Piston for it. They also showed another angle of the guy who hit Artest with the beer. Right when Artest got near him enough to attack him, you could see the guy's face change from laughing to saying "HO-LY SHIT!" and instantly frightened for his life. That was hilarious to watch. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I don't think he should blame any of his players but he should ream his team's fans a new one.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Ben Wallace = should be punished for on-court actions. Pushing Artest, overreacting, etc. He is not responsible for the fan(s). 2-3 games. Artest = punished for jumping the rail after the fan, with some leeway given because he was instigated. 4 games. Jackson = the worst out of the players, BEFORE the beer thing happened, this guy was putting up his fists challenging for a fight.. wtf was that? Then, he chases after Artest and starts swinging wildly... wtf was that!? 8 games. Beer-throwing fan = fucktard. ARRESTED. pistons bias clearly in play!!! Guest Report post Posted November 20, 2004 If the NBA wants to be technical, no one is allowed to leave the bench area if they are not part of the game, so the whole Pacers team should honestly be suspended. Not that I am for that.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 This torrent website usually has full NBA games available for download: http://bt.davkanet.com/ I'm sure they will be uploading this game in a few days.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Watching it on ESPN right now...I shouldn't but I laughed my ass off at some of those cheap shots and people tossing chairs and shit. Crazy.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Jermaine O'Neal will be suspended too. He landed punches on fans. I just saw Artest hitting that short fat guy in the white jersey for the first time. CLASSIC! They had a nice, short staredown before Artest clocked him I've gotta say this is hands down my favorite NBA fight EVER, and I never thought anything would beat out the shit that went down between the NYK and Miami. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Artest was looking to get his month off and if he gets enough games suspension, he might just have got it..
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 Holy shit, just saw for the first time, O'Neal flat out floor the one guy who was on the court. That was awesome.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2004 I think Ben Wallace is actually the one to blame most here. If he hadn't been a moron and overreacted to a routine tough foul this whole episode wouldn't have happened. This is like Heat vs. Knicks X 100 though. Gotta love it.
