He got shit thrown at him too... He was just the last Pacer to leave the court. Don't play Michael Wilbon and make this into something it's not. I meant while he was walking through the tunnel.

There were 4 or 5 fans, and one of them was a HUGE motherfucker throwing punches at all of them. Jackson was trying to help out Artest. And Artest had every right to go into the stands. Every single player got absolutely pelted with shit on the way out. Detroit, as an organization, should be fined. The Pacers should receive no suspensions or fines, they did what anyone would do and that's protect themselves and their teammates. That logic is flawed on a few levels. First, what if someone actually came to the game with that nerd, if you see Jackson, who was not directly involved go after your friend, you could be just as obligated to enter the fight as well. If the fans cannot come onto the court without repercussions, then the players have to be punished too.

And there's a difference between defending yourself and going into the stands and attacking fans. Whichever fan started this is mostly to blame, but Artest and whoever else deserve whatever they get from the league in fines and suspensions. Shake off getting the shit thrown and you and get up and leave. Artest does that and none of this would have happened.

They also showed another angle of the guy who hit Artest with the beer. Right when Artest got near him enough to attack him, you could see the guy's face change from laughing to saying "HO-LY SHIT!" and instantly frightened for his life. That was hilarious to watch.

Pushing Artest, overreacting, etc. He is not responsible for the fan(s). 2-3 games. Artest = punished for jumping the rail after the fan, with some leeway given because he was instigated. 4 games. Jackson = the worst out of the players, BEFORE the beer thing happened, this guy was putting up his fists challenging for a fight.. wtf was that? Then, he chases after Artest and starts swinging wildly... wtf was that!? 8 games. Beer-throwing fan = fucktard. ARRESTED. pistons bias clearly in play!!!

I just saw Artest hitting that short fat guy in the white jersey for the first time. CLASSIC! They had a nice, short staredown before Artest clocked him I've gotta say this is hands down my favorite NBA fight EVER, and I never thought anything would beat out the shit that went down between the NYK and Miami.
