Guest hhheld_down Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Anyone seen this movie yet? Amazingly its getting really good reviews all over, and it really doesnt look half bad. I am planning on seeing it this weekend sometime. Thoughts from anyone who has seen it?

Anyway, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I loved the show (especially while high) so I'd like to get baked and see it.

Really freaking hilarious. Everybody needs to get out and see it. Some of my favorite quotes (may contain spoilers - I doubt you'll be able to decipher movie plot more than through previews through it though) : "ROAD....ROAD...ROAD...ROAD...ROAD...sorry." "His chops are too righteous!" "There's the wizard that saved us!" Both songs. "Stay with me Phil, let's hear about that family." "Me, Patrick, and Squidward will-" "PASS." "Me and Patrick will do it!" Awesome movie. Go see it.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Unless you're a fan of the show you'll pretty much need to be drunk/high off of something to enjoy it. I'm a fan of the show and was baked out of my mind and it was one of the most insane visual mindfucks I've ever had. Plankton's rant at the end followed by "I will destroy you all" was great. Spongebob and Patrick at Goofy Goober was one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

Patrick was HILARIOUS in this movie, and this line TELLS you that. Spongebob: (revealing the fact Patrick wears Goofy Goober underwear) Patrick! However, I get free rental coupons a lot, and I'd rather view a movie at home than amongst a bunch of brats, parents, and smelly potheads.

Saw it and liked it a lot, but if I was stoned I think I really would have enjoyed it. There's always a next time. The Pirates were great, as was the I Wanna Rock remix.

Plankton steals King Neptune's crown and says that Mr. Krabs did it. Mr. Krabs is then frozen by Neptune and Plankton steals the Krabby Patty recipe. Plantkon sells the Krabby Patty at the Chum Bucket and people start going there. He gives away bucket helmets that turn people into his slaves.

Sure, they enjoy the goofy colours and stupid humour but there are really fucked up metaphors and subtext in the show that you sometimes have to be ripped to recognize.
