Anorak Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 they had the minor early-90s hits "push th' littl' daisies" . Even Beavis & Butthead turned that crap off. I only own The Bends and OK Computer and it's staying at just those two. Neither come close to Automatic For The People as far as my favourite 90's albums go though. Up has some great moments (Falls To Climb etc) but about 5 songs or so on there are just worthless.
C Dubya 04 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Just wanted to mention the 2 Radiohead songs I love that were not mentioned, "Like Spinning Plates" and "Lucky". Of course some of you should instantly disregard this post because I have to admit I enjoyed Pablo Honey when it came out.
The Czech Republic Posted January 11, 2005 Author Report Posted January 11, 2005 "Like Spinning Plates" is a bit gimmicky. I really like "Idioteque," "Planet Telex," "Paranoid Android," and "Everything In Its Right Place." Nothing on Hail to the Thief is very good to me, and right now the experimental albums are intriguing me, it's SO WEIRD.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 See if you can get the Spinning Plates version off the I Might Be Wrong live EP. It takes the track down to just vocals and piano and is absolutely beautiful. Hell, get the whole EP. Superb versions of Idioteque, EIIRP and True Love Waits.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 "Planet Telex" is one of my favorites. It never gets much pub, but it's haunting and jangly and great. That EP really is great, too.
Giuseppe Zangara Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 I've said this numerous times (including in this thread), but the title track to The Bends is the best thing this band's ever done.
