Back from Glastonbury, highlights were Stooges, Super Furry Animals and Hot Chip, pretty much as expected. Lily Allen is the most irritating person on the planet. The Who were fun I guess. The journey back was hell for a long long time. But fuck it, I rocked.

Were you on stage for Iggy? Did you see John Fogerty?

Was *just* too inebriated to force through the crowd. Nevermind. Didn't see Fogerty. Shirley Bassey's still got it, though.

I'm excited cause this has to mean the 90s revival is starting.

It'll only be a matter of time till we see the "Alt Rock Never Stops" tour featuring Third Eye Blind, Candlebox, Sugar Ray and opener, Dishwalla.

I already mentioned this in the "Albums Listened To Today" thread, but I think Vol. 4 is the best Sabbath album, and nobody can convince me otherwise.

There are still tickets available for the Morrissey show at an amphitheatre here in northern Virginia on Monday. $30 lawn, $48 orchestra. Should I go?

His band at the moment are great. Dunno how he'll be in an anphitheatre but I imagine it'd fit well with the whole 'comeback special' thing he's got going on at the moment.

It's obviously Born Again. I mean the guy from Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, how can ya go wrong?

But Sabbath Bloody Sabbath shall always prevail. Are any of us ever going to present an actual argument for these albums?

That's a terrible album. It's much better than Forbidden though.

The thing is, after Dio left, Sabbath basically became Tony Iommi's project.

Speaking of Deep Purple, "Highway Star" is their best song, with "Hush" being a close second.

It's actually the s/t.

The song "Warning" drags on for way too long, so I disagree. That is a great album though.

Yeah, I hope you can tell I was joking. I've never even actually heard that album outside of some 30 second samples on ITunes.

Hell, I don't know any fans of non-Ozzy, non-Dio Black Sabbath. But they got to be out there. I bet my cousin (Whose favorite band is Slaughter) likes 'em.

Quick edit: Have to add, Slaughter is up there with Smash Mouth in terms of "Most misleading band names".

Wait, after some fact checking, Mark Slaughter's real last name is Slaughter. Color me surprised.

Christ, I can be clueless. It's a weakness.

One more thought before I sign off, has there ever been a more undeserving compilation that KISS Greatest Hits Vol. 3? I understand Vol. 1 (1974-1982) completely and I even understand having a Vol. 2 (The hair metal, unmasked years). But I don't see anybody demanding a compilation of songs from Psycho Circus and their Unplugged album.

If you can find the Suicide Handbook, track that one down. Gold and Cold Roses are solid, though Cold Roses could easily have been an outstanding single release as opposed to the bloated two-disc. Steer clear of Love is Hell and Demolition.
