CanadianChris Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Yankees vs. Red Sox, ALCS Game 5 Canucks vs. Flames, West quarters Game 6 Panthers vs. Rams, NFC divisional playoff Lions vs. Roughriders, CFL West division final USC vs. Cal
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Packers vs. Seahawks, Wildcard Playoffs
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Packers vs. Seahawks, Wildcard Playoffs Seconded... too bad "We want the ball and we're going to score!" meant an interception return for a TD.
CanadianGuitarist Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Though in particular game 6 and 7, any game from the Flames-Canucks west quarters this year. Best actual hockey(and i mean actual hockey, results are irrelevant) since the 87 Canada Cup.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Yankees vs. Red Sox, ALCS Game 5 I was never as infuriated with a baseball team as I was that night. After Game five you knew it was over, so I wasn't as angry.
2GOLD Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 NE vs Carolina seconded GB vs Seattle third None of the baseball games did anything for me. Maybe cause I was too worn out on the whole Sox/Yankees to give a damn. Oh and Memphis/L'ville in football. Cause it was just damn fun to watch.
cabbageboy Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Heh, two U of L games on this list? That's why ESPN loves us in those mid week games...we bring the money. I'll second the Rams/Panthers game...the most insane game of the playoffs last year. I can't say Pack/Eagles due to the 4th and 26...that was a major fuckup in my book, not a particularly great play. UAB vs. UK was riveting although the result made me puke. Duke/UConn might be a choice though the officiating was atrocious in its Duke bias.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Los Angeles-San Antonio Spurs, Game 5. 0.4 seconds, "The Fish Swish". I miss Derek Fisher. Green Bay-Seattle, and hell I'll even say Green Bay-Philly in the playoffs as well. Honorable mention to Minnesota-Arizona, Week 17 of the 2003 season. Thanks, Josh McCown! Also, the NE-Carolina Super Bowl, and the double OT Panther win in St. Louis in the playoffs.
Slayer Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 MLB: ALCS Game 4 and 5 NFL: Rams-Panthers (I remember going insane, wanting the Rams to lose so badly) College basketball: (push) OSU-St. Joe's, UConn-Duke College football: Looking over last years four BCS bowl games, I remember the games being a lot worse than the close scores indicated, so no go there, and I can't remember any regular season game... damn my memory sucks
2GOLD Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 College basketball: (push) OSU-St. Joe's DAMN! Knew I forgot a game. That was the first college basketball I watched tip-off to final whistle all season. Just plain awesome game.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 NFL: Rams-Panthers (I remember going insane, wanting the Rams to lose so badly) Agreed. Mutual hatred of Mike Martz's Rams are what brings rivals like Viking and Packer fans together in harmony.
The Czech Republic Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Seahawks-Packers in the playoffs Canucks-Flames, WQF Game 6 Red Sox-Yankees, Games 3-7
Agent_Bond34 Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 I agree with the following: USC/Cal New England/Carolina St Louis/Carolina (Ricky Manning became my hero, that day) Louisville/Miami I would also like to add: Kansas City/Indianapolis (AFC Playoff game. I love high scoring shootouts) New England/Indianapolis (From Week 1) Agreed. Mutual hatred of Mike Martz's Rams are what brings rivals like Viking and Packer fans together in harmony. Can I (A 49ers fan) join this Rams hatefest?
Youth N Asia Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Michigan/Michigan State, college football Michigan down 17, they come back to tie it up, 3 overtimes! Michigan wins.
nogoodnick Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Detroit Pistons vs Indiana Pacers Game 5(I think) Tayshaun's last second block
The Czech Republic Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Agreed. Mutual hatred of Mike Martz's Rams are what brings rivals like Viking and Packer fans together in harmony. Can I (A 49ers fan) join this Rams hatefest? I don't think ANYBODY likes the Rams.
Guest Rrrsh Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Yankees vs. Red Sox, ALCS Game 5 Canucks vs. Flames, West quarters Game 6 Panthers vs. Rams, NFC divisional playoff Lions vs. Roughriders, CFL West division final USC vs. Cal That pretty much sums it up. Altho Game 4 and 5 are 1 and 1A for me in the ALCS.
the max Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Red Sox v. Yankees games 4, 5, 6. 7 was good for me as a fan, but not so much for suspense.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 BC Lions vs Saskatchewan Roughriders, CFL West Final Super Bowl Vancouver Canucks vs Calgary Flames, Game 6 & 7(best NHL playoff series in over a decade) LA Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs, Game 4/5(I forget which had the 0.4 shot)
Brett Favre Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 -Yanks vs. Red Sox, July 1st -Super Bowl: Carolina vs. New England -Eastern Conference Semi-Finals: Nets vs. Detroit - Game 5, triple OT. -Most games played by the U.S Basketball Olympic team.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 Yankees v. Red Sox ALCS Game 1, simply for the fact they stole shit from Star Wars to tell the story. Pretty much the whole series, except Game 7 which was lop-sided from the 1st inning on. Pistons vs. Pacers last week...just for the fact it was the 1st time I've ever seen anything like it during a basketball game.
iggymcfly Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Well, there doesn't seem to be as many college basketball games, so I'll list some of them: Stanford vs. Washington State- The game that should have ended Stanford's streak Duke vs. Maryland- ACC Championship UAB vs. Washington- NCAA 1st round Oklahoma State vs. Saint Joseph's- Elite Eight Oklahoma State vs. Georgia Tech- Final Four Duke vs. Connecticut- Final Four
Agent_Bond34 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I don't think ANYBODY likes the Rams. I think you might be right about that.
Matt Young Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Packers vs. Seahawks, NFC Wild Card Packers vs. Eagles, NFC Playoffs Panthers vs. Rams, NFC Playoffs Panthers vs. Patriots, Super Bowl Timberwolves vs. Kings, Game 7, Western Conference semis The whole Red Sox vs. Yankees AL Championship Series The whole Cardinals vs. Astros NL Championship series There were others, but I can only think of those right now. I guess they stand out since they were all playoff games.
Slayer Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Yankees v. Red Sox ALCS Game 1, simply for the fact they stole shit from Star Wars to tell the story. Funny, they never did finish that analogy when the Sox won...
The Czech Republic Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I don't think ANYBODY likes the Rams. I think you might be right about that. Seriously. At least they don't have Kurt Warner and his crazy wife counting against them any longer, but shit, what an unlikable team. Bunch of Mike Martz-coached dome-lovin' jerks.
The Man in Blak Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I'm from St. Louis and I can't even stand the Rams. Or, more specifically, Mike Martz.
