That wasn't a HOF induction.

I don't even know what your refering to anyways...

That wasn't even the Lifetime Achievement Award (which went to Fred Blassie I think that year anyway).

I think the ME could still get in even though they aren't WWF/E. Harley Race barely did anything for WWE and he got in.

It was a Hall of Fame introduction

Hall of Fame presented by Gorilla Monsoon: Bret Hart (winner)

• Yokozuna

• Diesel

• Bob Backlund

• The Undertaker

WWE should take advantage of that and make sure to point out that Hart is already in the HOF because there's no way the Hitman would be willing to work with Vince again.

Why do you say that? He and Vince have been talking to each other numerous times. He turned down doing an apperence at Mania because he isn't ready to come back.

There is NO bad blood between Him and Vince. The bad blood is with Flair.

He has said he forgiven Vince McMahon for what he did.

The hatred is over, he still is bitter about being screwed though.

Of the above lists, I think the first is the most realistic...the only guys they might have trouble getting to participate would be Bob Backlund and Bruno.

Why Backlund? I thought he was on good terms with Vince.

Backlund was offered it this year but he and vince had a verbal falling out and apprently haven't quite patched it up.

It was like a future HOFer or most likely to be a HOFer award

Edge was voted most likely to be WWF(E) Champion in High School, and although realistic, that hasn't happend yet either.

Bret Hart being voted most likely to be a WWF Hall of Famer was obvious, but it isn't technical yet, which was the point I was using with the above.

Ricky Steamboat (The guy is respected by everyone, and truly one of the all time greats. Harley Race got in last year, but did very little in the WWF)

Ted DiBiase (He was a top draw with the company for several years, and also a tremendous wrestler too. He deserves to be there but only if Virgil returns for the night too)

Steve Austin (Perhaps the biggest name to ever enter the squared circle. You can't really have a hall of fame without including him)

Hulk Hogan (See Austin)

If we are talking about wrestling (or North American wrestling at least) in general, people who will get inducted at some point in time should include...

Bruno Sammartino

Bob Backlund

Bret Hart

Edouard Carpentier

The British Bulldogs

Kurt Angle

Owen Hart

Curt Hennig

Rick Martel

Ricky Steamboat

Ted DiBiase

Arn Anderson (by now, mostly associated by new fans with WWE due to current role)

Rick Rude

Dean Malenko

Rey Mysterio Jr

Mick Foley

Larry Zbysko (spent a long time in the old WWWF)

Big Boss Man

Roddy Piper

MOSTLY ASSOCIATED WITH OTHER COMPANIES

Lou Thesz

Verne Gagne

Stan Hansen

Nick Bockwinkel

Gene Kiniski

Mil Mascaras

Steve Williams

Abdullah The Butcher

Tully Blanchard

Nikita Koloff

Kerry Von Erich

SHOULD BE INDUCTED ONCE RETIRED:

Ric Flair

Hulk Hogan

Triple H

Steve Austin

Vader

Jerry Lawler

Chris Benoit

Shawn Michaels

Randy Savage

Sting

The Rock

The Undertaker

Dusty Rhodes

FOREIGN WRESTLERS THAT COULD BE CONSIDERED FOR THEIR US APPEARANCES:

This wasn't worth starting a new topic for, so I'm bumping up this one.

There's this poll on the WWE website about who deserves to go in the Hall of Fame, it's found here: http://poll.wwe.com/hof/

I mean, I realise our voting won't effect the actual induction choices, but the list is probably a good indicator of *some* of the names likely to go in.

If you don't vote for Owen Hart you're a commie son of a bitch.....

The complete HoF Nominee Ballot for the non-link clicking audience

Iron Sheik

Bob Backlund

Ted DiBiase

Ricky Steamboat

Bruno Sammartino

Road Warriors

Rick Rude

Paul Orndorf

Bret Hart

British Bulldog

Wendi Richter

Terry Funk

Yokozuna

Gordon Solie

Honky Tonk Man

Jimmy Hart

Dusty Rhodes

Curt Hennig

Owen Hart

Hollywood Hogan

Roddy Piper

Cowboy Bob Orton

Barry Windham

King Kong Bundy

In my opinion, I've gotta go with Solie, Sammartino, and Hogan as "Absolutely In". Bret, Steamboat, Rhodes, and DiBiase go underneath "Good Arguments to Get In" and everyone else I'm a bit lukewarm toward.

Ah, Steambaot didnt do enough for the WWF to get in just yet.

Vince McMahon himself has now said that they now carry the responsibility not just for maintaining their own history, but maintaining the history of all of US wrestling. He's right, but his intentions on what to do with that history are probably different than I'd like. Therefore, you have people here limiting their additions to work in WWE only, but I think it's intended to be a little more global. Harley Race was put in this past year, for example, and he was only a high-end midcarder with the occasional Hogan program if you limit yourself to his WWF stuff.

I think Steamboat stands a high chance to get inducted soon considering His match with Randy Savage at WM3 is still regarded by some as one of the greatest matches in WWF(E) history (what you may or may not feel about the match is irrelevant since that's how the match is treated). He was clearly WWF's #2 babyface(behind hogan) from 1986-1987. He had a historic run in NWA in the early 80's and then when he returned he had the legendary series with Ric Flair that is considered by many the peak of wrestling greatness and something that save for the Punk/Joe series of 2004, hasn't been duplicated since.

He stands a strong chance since he and WWE at the moment are looking a working relationship and Steamboat could easily sign on as a agent. Don't forget the clout of Triple H. We know he respects and worships Flair and it's only logical that HHH respects Steamboat as well and I'm sure Flair would be doing a little political campagning to get his buddy Steamboat inducted.

Steamboat's chances are very good.

I voted Bret, but whether Bret will agree to show up and accept the award, that's another story.

Bret likely won't attend if Hogan is there.

He would want the attention to be about him and wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Hogan yet again.
