New Motley Crue song

Recommended Posts

I just found this link to the newest Motley Crue song. All four band members are back for the first time since Generation Swine. If anyone's a fan you might want to check it out. It's an alright song, sounds a little too modern maybe. The big problem is there's no guitar solo in it. It has a good heavy sound in the intro and the chorus, and weakens up a bit at other parts. It does have Tommy Lee back on drums and the general Tommy Lee feeling to it. It's called "If I Die Tommorrow" There's supposed to be 4 new songs that they recorded, hopefully they went heavier on the others.

Also there's supposed to be a tour coming up soon with an announcement coming on Monday supposedly. I definitely think it will be worth checking out since it's supposed to be the last time.

I was looking around and I found a new photo gallery and I think Mick Mars may actually be dead. Look at this:

Is this the same song that Simple Plan wrote for Motley Crue? Yes, I said Simple Plan. I saw something about this on another site.

Yeah it's the one written by Simple Plan. I didn't hear about that until a while after I posted this. According to Tracii Guns Nikki didnt even write any of it at all, it's all by Simple Plan and Nikki just says he co-wrote it. He also implied without actually saying that Mick Mars didn't even play on the song and DJ Ashba did instead. Tracii and Nikki got together and wrote what were supposed to be some real Motley songs, but Nikki started to lean towards the Simple Plan song instead, then Tommy Lee decided to ditch all the Tracii material and stick with this.

Wow, they're hitting some big arenas. Is the Crue really that much of an attraction anymore? Sure, the reunion will get them some attention, but it hasn't been THAT long since they last played together.

I heard that he's just constantly out of breath: "He's a wolf...lonely...night...bloodstain....stage............He's the tear....eye.......tempted.........lie.........knife........back......rage!"

Vince Neil has NO VOICE LEFT. I saw them four years ago with Scorpions and Vince couldn't complete ONE FUCKING SONG. Not one.

I'd rebutal that statement.

Saw him 6 weeks ago, had an amazing voice.

I guess its shody these days.

I was all excited about this up until you mentioned that one of the songs was written by Simple fucking Plan.

Don't get me wrong- I love Canadians and pop-punk. Hell, I used to like Simple Plan when their first album came out. Now I just can't stand them.

Simple Plan writing a song for the Crue has to be a sign of the apocalypse.

That's actually about right if you look at any of the Crue shows since around 1997. I've actually heard good things about him recently though. He sounds good on that song even though the song isn't that good. I know that doesn't mean he'd sound good live after singing for a few songs, or after a few days of the tour, but he's shown some promise from what I hear.

Vince looks a lot better in those photos then he has lately.

But who can take him seriously now that he's done the Surreal Life?

If I remember, I might go see em next March even though I'm not a particularly big fan.

I've seen Vince Neil once and Motley Crue twice, so I'll be there!

Downloaded the new song. My initial reaction to it was positive. I am surprised that Nikki Sixx had someone else write his material, he was always pretty picky about his music.

those arenas would be too big IMO

the fleet center holds like 18-20 k for a concert

when i saw them at the centrum which is like 10 k on the swine tour with cheap trick it was half full

they did pretty well at the amphitheater here with scorps (probably like 12 k) but less i heard the next time they played the same place with Megadeth

while the 80s/hair metal nostalgia is bigger than it was thier last few tours, they really should be playing slightly smaller venues..who knows maybe the promise of the fairwell and a big stage show (as in drum stnunt) might be enough to sell some out?

I think they're actually playing half arenas from what I've heard. It'll have the stage in the middle with the half behind it blocked off. I'm not 100% sure on that though.

Please, please tell me I'm not the only one who just saw them finally officially announce it....ON LARRY KING LIVE. It was quite possibly the weirdest thing ever. They did have a brand new live performance of Dr. Feelgood on it which was very cool. The guys all seemed to at least act like they like each other, and they were pretty funny as well. Mick didn't have much to say, but that's been the case for most of 25 years.
