According to Tuesday morning?s trade papers, Craig Kilborn?s replacement as host of CBS? ?Late Late Show? is another Craig, Craig Ferguson, the Scottish actor who played the boss on ?The Drew Carey Show.?

It?s news because everyone?s been saying for months that former ?The State? player and ?Ed? regular Michael Ian Black was odds-on favorite for the job.

Ferguson gets his name in the title on Jan. 3.

I liked Kilborn in small doses, I couldn't put up with him for any serious length of time. I got tired of his show pretty quick and stopped watching. Ferguson filled in pretty well the couple times I watched...and I would take death over knowing Michael Ian Black had an hour of tv every weeknight.

I won't watch this show anyway, but I'm glad Mr. Black won't be collecting that fat network paycheck. And I had no idea who that Ferguson guy was until I read he was the British boss on the Drew Carey show...

Thats cause Kilborn was ummmmmmm..... I dont know, funny thats it! He was just hideous as a late night talk show host, as far as Ferguson getting the gig goes, it just gets a big shrug and so what from me.

I saw Ferguson host a few weeks ago, I'm fine with him as host. But holy fuck I didn't know Michael Ian Black was considered. WHO THE FUCK thought that would be a good idea. Christ that would be a nightmare.

He was quite good on the Daily Show, for a short time there he was actually a media darling but once everybody got a hard on for Jon Stewart (not completely unwarranted mind you) followed by the CBS show doing the suck and tank then everyone pretty much turned on him.

Hughely was good but I felt he he relied on the same "I'm black" joke too much but thought he'd get the job since he's a bigger name. Fergeson was pretty decent. He won't make a dent against Conan but he'll do better then mostothers would.

He was all over I love the 90's too. And I love the 70's if I recall. He manages to almost ruin the series just by himself. Not that I watch the late late show that much, but when I leave the television on after Letterman I would NOT want to look up and see him.

He already left awhile ago. He left to work on his writing and Production career. The last few months have been done by Guest Hosts. The last month were the top four who were in line for the job (Black, Fergeonson, Hughely and Damian something from MTV)
