JoeDirt Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Velocity: 1) Spike Dudley vs. C.W Anderson 2) Billy Kidman vs. Paul London 3) Luther Reigns vs. Hardcore Holly Smackdown: 1) Cruiserweight battle royal for title shot at Armageddon 2) Jesus vs. Charlie Haas 3) Kenzo and Dupree vs. RVD and Rey Misterio 4) Big Show vs. Mark Jindrak 5) Taker, Eddie, Booker vs. JBL, Orlando, and Bashams
Matt Young Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Thanks. I was just about to request these. Some stuff looks good. Kidman vs. London should be fun even though they're wasting a good blowoff match on Velocity AGAIN. C.W. Anderson~! 'Buff said. The tag title match should be good and it will be nice to see if Jesus can be a miracle worker in the ring ( ) despite his injury.
cbacon Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Jesus, talk about battle royal over-kill. Surely there are more creative ways to determine title shots.
JoeDirt Posted December 8, 2004 Author Report Posted December 8, 2004 Jesus, talk about battle royal over-kill. Surely there are more creative ways to determine title shots. It's easier than having the writers put any thought into anything, apparently.
Fökai Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 I thought that Hiroko/Torrie was announced for the show?
Matt Young Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Maybe they figured that the Hiroko/Torrie Bra and Panties match was a bigger draw than the tag title contest, so they decided to have the tag match on Smackdown and save the big attraction for Armageddon.
Youth N Asia Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Another Smackdown where there is not a single thing I care to see...this is happening every week now.
JoeDirt Posted December 8, 2004 Author Report Posted December 8, 2004 I thought that Hiroko/Torrie was announced for the show? Well it kind of happens but not as an official match apparently, if that makes any sense.
Scroby Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 It'd be nice to see C.W. again, I haven't seen him wrestle since ECW....as long as the WWE doesn't have Spike walk all over him.
Use Your Illusion Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 1) Cruiserweight battle royal for title shot at Armageddon 2) Jesus vs. Charlie Haas 3) Kenzo and Dupree vs. RVD and Rey Misterio 4) Big Show vs. Mark Jindrak 5) Taker, Eddie, Booker vs. JBL, Orlando, and Bashams 1) Pass 2) PASS 3) See 2) 4) All of the above Fuck Smackdown.
Si82 Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Five matches, five crappy matches at that, on a two hour show? What a fucking joke.
JoeDirt Posted December 8, 2004 Author Report Posted December 8, 2004 They have to make room for the "great" Tough Enough segment of the week. Oh, and JBL does an interview. And Booker stretches with that blonde personal trainer bitch. Yep, that's about it.
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Velocity is a must watch for me, for London vs. Kidman (Hopefully better than Kidmans match vs. Chavo last week), and seeing C.W. Anderson in a WWE Match.
claydude14 Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 I think that looks like a solid card.
JoeDirt Posted December 9, 2004 Author Report Posted December 9, 2004 No Angle hometown challenge? Kind of, but no official match.
Dobbs 3K Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Anyone else notice how it seems to be basically the same matches week after week on Smackdown, with only a little variation (eg, JBL vs Booker one week, JBL vs Booker in a tag match the next, etc)? It's getting pretty old.
Youth N Asia Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Exactly...it's pretty much the same few workers, with the matches SLIGHTLY shuffled.
JoeDirt Posted December 9, 2004 Author Report Posted December 9, 2004 A problem with the brand split and uncreative booking.
