Vyce 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 This angle would have been kind of compelling if Heidenreich was an actually decent worker. Hell, this would be compelling even if he was just at Sid's level of ability.
GreatWhiteNope 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Why don't the fans hold up their lighters during Taker's entrance like in the old days? That used to be awesome.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 ...I hate to mention this symbolism... But I find it funny the two white guys are wearing black, and the black guy is wearing white. Maybe it's not that interesting, now that I think of it.

Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Damn has this show gone down the toilet since...(checks watch) about an hour ago. Well...they're giving out the wrestling portion that everyone claims they want to see so much.. Haven't been paying TOO much attention..but from what I've seen, this match hasn't really been bad at all.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Look, I know Smackdown has a real problem with its talent pool, but really.........what possessed them to push the BASHAMS into the main event scene?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Look, I know Smackdown has a real problem with its talent pool, but really.........what possessed them to push the BASHAMS into the main event scene? JBL request, maybe?
Vyce 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 So since JBL lost here and Tazz is talking about 'not liking JBL's chances at Armageddon', does that ensure a JBL victory on Sunday?
Exslade ZX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 Look, I know Smackdown has a real problem with its talent pool, but really.........what possessed them to push the BASHAMS into the main event scene? Just asking..but who would you prefer as JBL's 'secretary(s) of defense'? And no one..is not an answer. Because I can really think of no one else off the top of my head...they're not that bad of a choice.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 I think JBL should win on Sunday, but I'm sure I'm the only one. It would sorta remind me of when Kurt Angle went into the December PPV in the six-man cell match, and he ended up worming his way to victory.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 The non-wrestling stuff sucked tonight, but the wrestling portions were pretty good. Misc. musings: -liked the Kanyon-esque selling of the chokeslam by Doug Basham in the opening segment. -cruiser battle royal was "eh". No clue why Funaki got the win, as all signs were pointing to Shannon Moore. I guess nobody on the writing staff watches Velocity. -ReyVD vs. Kenzo/Dupree was suprisingly entertaining, considering I only like 1/4 of the guys involved (Rey). Match went pretty long, but it didn't hurt the match. This is the match that should happen at Armageddon, rather than the show right before. Curious booking. Kenzo is getting a little better, but he's still got a ways to go. -ME was pretty good, too. JBL has been pretty good playing the coward heel. He's still not a ME guy, but I don't hate him w/ every ounce of my being. Maybe just 95% or my being. Sadly, I see him walking out of the PPV with the belt. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2004 I could've watched 15 more minutes of the Dupree/Kenzo vs. Rey/RVD. That was like, the best tag match I've seen in a while. RVD and Rey are such a great Babyface team (rallying the crowd, acting like they really wanted the belt - Rey jumping up and down when he sees Rob get a pinfall, RVD making the belt gestures, etc. - team moves w. names.. they need a name) and Kenzo/Dupree are good heels (could be a bit better, though Kenzo doing the tickler on the apron was great. He has such good facials, and Dupree bumps like crazy - they need to do more DASTARDLY heel moves, because they reek of the Stereotypical Bad Guys, so they need those really elaborate cheats to enhance that. They need to LOVE their evilness. If it weren't for Hassan on RAW, they could have gotten Skandar Ackbar and call themselves Devastation Inc. Hell, if The Sheik didn't die, he could have managed them against RVD and Rey.) It's a shame this Wilson stuff had to crap the feud up. This is like the closest they've been getting to reliving the early 90's scene.
