Guest Refferee Match: Dawn Marie vs. Mrs. Charlie Hass

Winner: Dawn Marie

I don't care; I just picked it.

Daniel Poo-der (Tee-hee!) vs. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin

Winner: Toss-up

It's a shoot, so I have no clue.

Totally Unfair Match: The (Kind of) Bald Show vs. Team Angle

Winner: Team Angle

If it's 3-on-1, and The Undertaker isn't in it, the 3 will win.

US Title Match: John Cena vs. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Aguillera

Winner: Jesus

Cena becomes, officially, the Biggest Jobber of All-Time.

Cruiserweight Title Match: Spike "The Gotee" Dudley vs. Funaki

Winner: Funaki

And there was much rejoicing.

WWE Tag-Team Title Match: Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam vs. Rene Dupree and Kenzo-san

Winners: Dupree and Suzuki

COME ON, you knew it was coming a kilometre away! Possible Basham interferance for feud.

WWE Title Match: John Layfield vs. Tha Bookman vs. Eddie Guerrrrrrrrrero vs. The Undertaker

Winner: BOOKER T?

Something stupid happens, likley, leading to a JBL/Booker match at the Rumble.

Phenom - OUT!

Spike Dudley over Funaki: Should be Funaki, since he's pretty over right now. However, he's a cruiserweight, and Vince doesn't care about them, so it will still be Spike.

Danial Pruder over Michael Mizanin

Handicapped Match: Kurts team will win. Don't ask me why, but they will.

Don't know or care who wins the women's match

John Cena over Jesus, complete with the typical homophobic rap

RVD and Rey Mysterio over Rene Depree and Kenzo Suzuki

JBL will win the fatal 4 way, because when it comes the the Smackdown title as of late, God just seems to ignore our begging for a new champion

spike over funaki

purder over mizanin

angle's team over big show

jbl over everybody (got a feeling heidenrape is gonna screw UT again, thus getting giving us the much anticipated rematch at the rumble)

the verdict: you have to be completely out of your mind to even want to order this "ppv" only thing noteworthy is the ME

I totally got the "JBL is retaining" vibe after this last week's SmackDown... with the fact that JBL was made out to be all three men's bitch, not to mention all the "screwing" of JBL by Teddy Long (now THERE'S a mental image for ya) going into the match itself, I can totally see JBL retaining, which is exactly why I'm not ordering this month.

Although, if I HAD to pick one of the three to win, it'd have to be The Undertaker, just because I'm nostalgic for one final UT title reign.

And one other thing... for whatever reason, I'm calling it now that the Fatal 4 Way WILL be made into a no-DQ match before the match takes place. Just a feeling.

1) CW title match-I pick Spike going over Funaki.

2) Dixie Dog fight- Puder will win, but Mizanin will get it somehow.

3) Women's match - Haas turns heel and gives Dawn Marie the victory.

4) Handicap match- Big Show will tap to the Ankle lock. Joy will be involved in the finish somehow. :(

5)US title match- Cena over Jesus.

6) Tag team match-- RVD and Rey over Dupree and Suzuki.

7) Fatal four way: You just know JBL will win somehow.

Is this a PPV or a house show? I can't tell with such a horrible card.

I still think they should have done the 6-Way HIAC and make it an Armageddon tradition. Just take the time away from the useless handicap match and put Show & Angle in the main event, and upgrade from Jesus to Reigns. Add Chavo/Kidman (ditch the divas) which they wasted on Velocity, and we get a PPV that I would be willing to order.

Here's what I think will happen in the WWE Title match:

Winner = INCONCLUSIVE!!!!

Now here me out, I have a reason to think this.

Perhaps (and this is a BIG perhaps) the World Heavyweight Title situation wasn't just a minor thing for just Raw. What if this is a big plan for the Royal Rumble?

My theory is that there's going to be major controversy in the WWE Title match (maybe a 4 way pin), and that causes the WWE title to be vacated.

McMahon steps in...and decides that since both the World Heavyweight Title and the WWE Title are in dispute, the only way to settle things is to put both titles, unified into one, up for grabs in the Royal Rumble.

Raw and Smackdown later get their own "brand champions", and the WWE World Champ becomes like the old days NWA World Champ.

...at least, that's what *I* would like to see.

I would have done that at Survivor Series.

The mental image of a four-way pin is pretty funny. And the fact that there would be some insanely contrived circumstances to lead to four people lying in a square being pinned by one person while themselves pinning another.

Then there would also have to be the politics of who would be pinning who.

.

Maybe they would do a big contrived fourway collision and no one makes the ten count.

That wouldn't work.

In that instance, rules dictate that the champion would retain the title.

That would rule. All four run the ropes in opposing directions and bang heads in the middle of the ring.

A four-way decision/no decision would be hilarious, but it should be for a harmless, useless title like the Women's or Cruiserweight.

Each brand having their title vacated sounds cool, but it seems like they'd be overdoing it all on one show--they could save something like that for after Mania I'd prefer.

I'd be nice for the title to be at stake in the Rumble match itself, but considering "Mr. McMahon" is totally against that, at least in kayfabe, I don't see it happening.

...when in Kafabe has Mr. McMahon been against the title(s) being on the line in the Royal Rumble?

The WWE rarely follows rules that the average fan might not remember. They fudge techicality rules all the time. I'm still not sure what their stance on blood loss stoppage is. Also, they seemed to have totally abandoned the 'Teddy Long is an impartial GM' thing. He's a full on, Foley-esque panderer to the faces. Have him screw Bradshaw over.

The Raw battle royal.

On Raw, he didn't want the title on the line in the battle royal because "anyone, even Steven Richards, could win".

Ah, right. Forgot about that.

Too bad though. Would have loved to see another Royal Rumble like the 1992 one again.

Here's Meltzer's Armageddon preview:

--Armageddon preview:

*JBL vs. Undertaker vs. Booker T vs. Eddie Guerrero - Since the long-term plans for the company require a heel champion for nearly next year, you've either got a title change, which will flip right back at Royal Rumble, or JBL retaining, and more likely the latter. The match should be good, but that is hardly a guarantee. They'll need the blood and the gimmicks in this one because the undercard is so weak on paper they'll need a home run out of this match. And with the four guys, that is hardly guaranteed.

*John Cena vs. Jesus in a street fight. I've actually seen Prototype vs. Hardkore Kidd before. And Hardkore Kidd is no better today than he was then. This better be kept short, and I can't see Cena losing.

*RVD & Rey Mysterio vs. Kenzo Suzuki & Rene Dupree. They'll probably get a **1/2 to *** match like they always have on TV and at the house shows. That may be enough for match of the show. The title change on Smackdown this week before the PPV makes no sense, because it lessens the anticipation for this match, not that there was much of any to begin with.

*Daniel Puder vs. Mike Mizanin in a 3 one minute round boxing match. The psychology here is very interesting. I know that someone in the company has told Mizanin that all he needs to do is somehow last the first round and they think it will win him the contest as a psychological and sympathetic victory. I don't know, because he's going to have to come across sympathetic and we'll see what kind of an actor and an athlete he is. Puder is by no means a great boxer, but he has boxed amateur. Boxing is the weakest part of his game, but it also is part of his game. I've got no doubt he's winning this, but this is boxing within the realm of pro wrestling, which means it's not if you win, but how you look winning--and losing. For better or worse, I've heard and read 100 times more about this match than anything else on the show.

*Big Show vs. Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak. At the house shows, it ends with Show choke slamming Jindrak and Reigns at the same time for the pin. Given the direction for Show, that probably will happen here as well, and then maybe a 3-on-1 on Show post-match. If Angle was healthy, the match could be okay. Since he's not, the odds of a good match have decreased

*Jackie vs. Dawn Marie with Charlie Haas as ref. Natural inclination is Haas turns on Jackie, then life imitates art and they get a real life divorce. I guess that comes from following wrestling couples for 20 years. The match has sucked at the house shows, and with higher expectations and more pressure, that'll probably be accentuated here

*Spike Dudley vs. Funaki for the cruiserweight title. I know there is a movement in some quarters to get the title off Spike, but this is not the guy to do it with. Really, Funaki getting the shot itself hurts what is already a dead division. They should have a technically okay match that the crowd probably won't care about much.

Survivor Series is more of a team night. It drew well enough anyways. It is Armageddon that needs the boost, because nobody has bought that show for years.

Have a controversial ending and vacate the title, and put it on the line at the Rumble. It'd be an excellent way for a Raw superstar to switch brands.

Any time they make a big deal out of the champ not making it out with the title in a multi-man match (especially heels) he retains. Whatever, I just like the sports bar atmosphere.

Cruiserweight championship match

Spike Dudley © versus Funaki

Pick: Sho Funaki, I don't see it happening, but it would be awesome for Funaki to finally get some gold.

Tough Enough Dixie Dog Fight

Daniel Puder versus Mike Mizanin

Pick: Daniel Puder, duh.

Handicap match

The Big Show versus Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak

Pick: Team Angle because Kurt is not going to job to Big Show 3 times in a row

Special Guest referee, Charlie Haas

Dawn Marie versus Miss Jackie

Pick: Dawn Marie, I smell Charlie turning on Jackie, it just seems too convinient

United States championship Street Fight

John Cena © versus Jesus

Pick: John Cena of course

WWE Tag Team championship match

RVD & Rey Mysterio © versus Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki

Pick: RVD & Rey Mysterio, couldn't they have just waited until the PPV for them to get the gold in the first place?

Fatal Fourway WWE championship match

JBL © versus Eddie Guerrero versus Booker T versus the Undertaker

Pick: Eddie Guerrero, but I'll be so happy I'll shit in my pants if Booker wins.

Knowing WWE, they'll just bust out with the Angle ending and have the heel champion retain against all odds.
