KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 "The smile's back guys! The smile's back!" Thank you Tony, now go bother the vendors some more. The hell...? That's what Siragusa said after Favre threw a TD pass to Driver. He might be the most useless fat guy broadcaster I've ever seen. Looks like the Jets have pissed the game away giving 14 4th quarter points.

I have the Chargers and Bucs on Fox...so I'm watching Joe Dirt on cable. I'm surprised Siragusa is allowed to roam the sidelines. He seems like the type of player to annoy the players with ridiculous remarks.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 12, 2004 oh, and fuck you Jets for letting the Steelers run all over you. I think the Bills have a good chance of taking the Steelers out in the final regular season game though.

Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2004 The Jets blew it. They were screwed over in the first half, but no excuse here. Bettis killed us. We really missed Abraham, and Ellis was limping off the field; didn't see if he came back. The only good note that came out of this, is not getting blown out like Philly and N.E. We must beat Seattle next week.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 So right now both the Pats and Steelers have really only one "tough" game on their schedules: Pats at Jets, since the Pats will be coming off a MNF game in Miami, and the Jets played them tough in their first meeting, and Ravens at Steelers, which I see being a game much like Steelers/Jags: hard hitting and low scoring. Buffalo might give the Steelers a run for their money if they are still in the WC hunt, but those are the two games I see possibly being a loss. Wow, great catch by Michael Clayton to tie the Bucs/Chargers game.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 13, 2004 The only good note that came out of this, is not getting blown out like Philly and N.E. With NE the team was without Corey Dillon, Tyrone Poole, Deion Branch, Troy Brown, and they lost Ty Law in the first 4min of the game. I think its safe to say injuries played a good part of the Pats losing that game, and for the Pats to score as much as they even did says something.

Players or not, the Steelers had the Pats in that game. It would have been much closer with them but I think Pittsburgh had the field and momentum. The rematch, if it happens, is going to be one hell of a game though. Hopefully it's the AFC title game.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I went to the Bills game. Still trying to wrap my head around 17 total offensive yards allowed. I still say the Bills finish 10-6 this season. I don't see where they need to do much of anything next year but strengthen the offensive line and nab a solid back-up tight end/ running back. Maybe get a little younger on defense. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I don't even want to think back to the start of this season. 0-4. 0 and FREAKING 4. Nate doesn't knock down a 4th and whatever pass in the opener and they score with 0 seconds left to win. We get an apology letter from the league for week 2...apologies for: A Henry TD that was incorrectly called short. A Safety that was called not a safety and a penalty on a Nate punt return to the Oakland 14 that didn't exist. 9 points and the ball in the redzone in a game we lost by...3 I'm just amazed they were able to turn this all around and have a winning record at this point. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 The Jets losing helps out the Ravens since they are now a game back of the jets and would have the tiebreaker. All I can say about the Ravens game today was that it was long, boring and predictable. The Ravens defense will come out next week fired up to keep Peyton Manning from even tying the record. Not on the Ravens defense... ESPN is going to hype the game to the hills too.

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted December 13, 2004 So is Minnesota going to choke their way out of the playoffs again this year?
packwingfn 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Not with the way the NFC is this year. It seems like noone wants that wild card spot this year literally besides the Panthers.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Did the Vikings lose to the Lions? Because if they did, and the Packers beat the Bears, that pretty much locks up the division for the Packers even if Minny beats them at Christmas.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted December 13, 2004 49ers did their best to throw it away, but thankfully we came through. We're at that stage where we can win games and still have the #1 draft pick. That's not cool.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Dennis Green should be fired for the way he handled the team this year. They were doing pretty well until he stupidly decided to play musical chairs with his QBs and take the team on a 4 game losing streak.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 As an Eagles fan, this game tonight worries me a little because it screams "letdown game" after last week against Green Bay. Hopefully they win tonight so they can get home-field clinched next week and rest the starters for the playoffs. Not only that, but the Eagles always play a close game against Washington every year, and last time they won by 22, so this is probably the nailbiter tonight. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 13, 2004 This has to be the deadest sunday in awhile. Probably because I went to work during the Packer game... And also because of a severe lack of good games today. Last week was full of them. I also think that now we can see who the classes of their respective conferences are, and a lot of people have kind of died down their passion for their team if they don't appear like they can hang in the playoffs, or let alone make them. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Dennis Green should be fired for the way he handled the team this year. They were doing pretty well until he stupidly decided to play musical chairs with his QBs and take the team on a 4 game losing streak. Seriously, was Josh McCown playing that badly before getting benched? I seem to remember these guys were playing tough with McCown at QB than with anyone else on the carousel. Oh, and my feelings on the Packers game today- I didn't get to watch it because I was at work, though I saw the Pack's lone TD of the game while I was on break. Sweet pass by Favre, but now I'm really getting the feeling this is 2002 all over again. A mediocre start to the season (1-1 in 2002, 1-4 in 2004), then a midseason winning streak (8 straight in 2002, 6 straight in 2004) followed by a devastating asskicking by a Super Bowl-bound team (to Tampa Bay who went on to win the championship 21-14, and by Philadelphia who are easily the class of the conference 42-17), and afterwards just barely eeking out a 3-1 record in December, the final loss coming in Week 17 to a red-hot team fighting for a playoff spot (The Jets, who had won 45-17 in the Meadowlands when Green Bay still had a shot for homefield advantage.. this year it's the Bears at Soldier Field, who might still be in playoff contention by that time..), and then finally a devastating loss at home in the playoffs to a team who doesn't deserve to win. I pick this year's party pooper to be Seattle, or possibly Atlanta again. And I happen to like Nick Barnett's pointless celebrating. The kid is fired up~ unlike the rest of that defense, apparently (points at sig)

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 49ers did their best to throw it away, but thankfully we came through. I'm with this guy, on this one. If it weren't for Joselio Hanson deflecting a pass in the back of the end zone intended for Freddie Jones on the Cardinals final drive, the 49ers probably would have lost the game in regulation. Thankfully, they were able to get it done in OT.
