therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 17-7 Eagles, I really wanted a McNabb TD pass for my fantasy stats.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I can't believe how vanilla Jim Johnson is calling the game tonight. The Eagles are getting no pressure with the front four, but they aren't blitzing to make up for it. They should be blitzing the christ out of Ramsey, and given their history with him they know it. therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I'd really like to know why that facemask on Trotter was a 15 yarder when he didn't even touch his facemask on the replay.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 He did touch the face mask. And he did it while Portis was going down and Portis head turned just a little, when those things happen it is always going to be 15. When you look at the replay it should only have been a five, but a ref will always call that 15 on the spot.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Umm...The other guy (not sure who) brought it up first. Blame the other guy. besides; he was giving the viewers an understanding of the emotion the player (springs was likely going through). Alot of people like when the commentators can properly express what's going on the field.

KingPK 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Goddamn that Redskins offense blows. No clock management, they don't even use the friggin' shotgun, so Ramsey has almost no time to wait for his receivers to go downfield, and they go for it all on first down with all the time they need, but Ramsey throws a HORRID pass into double coverage. If they actually could score, they'd probably be a cinch for the Wild Card right now.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 It's apparent that Theismann also had a brain injury along with the broken legs from LT.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted December 13, 2004 I know the other guy brought it up but Theisman does it all the time. I don't want to hear his football stories in the middle of a game. And what the hell is up with not having a shotgun formation in Washington? Ugh..... it's just sad to see how lost Joe Gibbs is during the game.
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Gibbs offense doesn't use a shotgun, and quite frankly with the horrid pass blocking, a shotgun would do more damage since it would telegraph a passing down and would signal the defense to bring the house. Ramsey threw a bad pass into double coverage and the game is over. Someone wake me up from this nightmare and tell me the Skins won 14-10....!?!
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted December 13, 2004 So...... they knew they were going to pass anyone because they had :49 left in the game. He might've actually completed a pass if he didn't have to run away from the defenders the second he had the ball.

He might've actually completed a pass if he didn't have to run away from the defenders the second he had the ball. yeah, it's called pass blocking. Half of the Skins offensive line can't do it very good. Randy Thomas is good, and Jon Jansen was the best lineman who's season ended in the preseason. Other then that, you have 42 year old Ray Brown, Cory Raymer, 2nd year Dockery, and Samuels who went from being a probowler to hurting his ankle so bad that apparently he can no longer block very efficiently. Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Regarding the TE holding on the long Jordan run during the Steelers' game, you guys are seriously being ridiculously biased yourselves by not admitting that perhaps he shouldn't have put himself in the situation to begin with. It's a completely, unquestionably legit block.......... if he doesn't have his fucking hands on Porter's back and shoulder pads. You let your hands slip outside of the numbers, and you're more than likely going to get called for holding. That's how it's been in the NFL for quite a few years now. Some of the penalties you guys are complaining about are just plain laughable; 6ish were pre-snap penalties (yeah, that's half of them, for those of you keeping track) and the PI/Illegal Contact penalties, you can thank the Indy Colts for them. Quite frankly, going by the rulebook, they were penalties. It doesn't matter if braindead Phil Simms doesn't think so.

Slayer 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Tice should be gone at the end of the season, playoffs (in spite of him) or no playoffs (which would definitely warrant firing) This team has the talent to be a 14-2 top NFC contender, but his coaching is holding them back. Evidence from yesterday's game included the "challenge for 1st down on 3rd down" and calling for a Randy Moss flea-flicker near the end of the game... I'm getting tired of this. Did the Vikings lose to the Lions? Vikings beat the Lions in Minnesota a couple weeks ago and Game 2 at Detroit is next week. If they lose that one, I'll pretty much concede the season
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2004 The Vikings always mystify me. You look at that team and you'd think they have the talent to do what the Eagles are doing...then week after week they fuck off and find ways to lose games. My brother rants about it constantly and we're not even Viking fans, heh. He's like "These idiots do not have a clue how to use their talent on offense...they should be going to Randy Moss, not Burleson or Wiggins or these other jobbers." It's funny but use the Vikings on Madden sometime. They are AWESOME when you just jack it up to Moss. Then try using the actual offense suggested by the game (which goes to a bunch of different receivers) and see how mediocre they are.

Did the Vikings lose to the Lions? Vikings beat the Lions in Minnesota a couple weeks ago and Game 2 at Detroit is next week. If they lose that one, I'll pretty much concede the season It's not just the coaching, although Tice is pretty horrible. Doesn't anyone remember Tice was a fucking interim coach who has only been able to get by on the extreme talent exhibited by that offense? But, as usual with Minnesota, I'd point my finger at the GM. Their defensive line is most likely the best thing they have, and they have a solid pass defender in Antonio Winfield (arguably the best player they have on that defense, and without a doubt maybe the best free agent acquisition this past offseason- Ironic Green Bay was trying to get his services as well, but still hoped for soem reason McKenzie would show up to camp and get that issue resolved.. How different could things have been...) but other than that, Minnesota has absolutely no defense. They're the AFC's version of the Colts, except their defense is possibly even worse. But yeah, the Vikes aren't going to get over the proverbial "hump" until they get some good coaching, although the reason they maybe haven't fired Tice yet is because there's simply noone better right now to get. All the name coordinators were taken/promoted during the offseason (Jim Mora Jr., Mike Mularkey, Charlie Weis is now going to ND, Norv Turner, Jim Fassel) with the exception of New England's Romeo Crennel. Tice is a bad coach, but honestly who could they really get that would be that much better outside of Crennel?

But I was stunned when they lost at home to the sad Seahawks. No way that should have happened.
