ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Well, since the end of the year is rapidly approaching, I was wondering what the futures of some of the members of the lower-card of WWE talent will be. I'll start with one from Raw and two from Smackdown: Raw: Maven Well, it's obvious that they're planning to groom Maven for an Intercontinental Title shot. If Maven can get major heat from the fans, I see a possible future IC Title reign for him over Benjamin. If he doesn't, however, that reign will be questionable. I feel that he may be de-pushed after whatever happens though, as he isn't that much of an attention grabber. Smackdown: Carlito Caribbean Cool & Jesus Their program with Cena, I believe, is over now. Next thing for them to do, once Carlito has recovered from his injuries, is for them to stick to being a tag team and make a run for the WWE Tag Team Titles. I can see them challenging RVD and Rey Rey in the near future...especially with the lack of tag teams on either side.
Guest Phenom Report post Posted December 15, 2004 My opinions: Akio: Great guy, no push. Garrison Cade: HBCade or bust! (And by bust, I mean fire him) Hardcore Holly: Just fire him. Scotty 2 Hotty: Tag him with Cena. It'll work. Shannon Moore: Put him on RAW. Matt Hardy works well with him. Nunzio: Where is Nunzio headed? A new stable, hopefully. Steven Richards: What's a former IC-title holder to do? Got me. Val Venis: NOT VAL VENIS! Seriously, new gimmick for this guy.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Since when has Richards won the IC Title at some point? I'm actually a Richards mark, but I doubt they'll ever do much of anything with him past main eventing Heat. Still, I think he's got friends in management or something, so at least I think his employment is reasonably secure.
Ced 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Val Venis: NOT VAL VENIS! Seriously, new gimmick for this guy. They've already tried to change his gimmick, failed, tried again, failed again, then apparently gave up and gave him the original gimmick back. At this point it looks like Morley's going to be Val Venis for the remainder of his WWE career whether he likes it or not.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Morely was working well for awhile as Morely. Morley is a lifetime JTTS... Richards will never get a real push due to chronic injuries.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Richards will never get a real push due to chronic injuries. Or even image injuries caused by working with Kronik.
justsoyouknow 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Scotty 2 Hotty: Tag him with Cena. It'll work. They'd have to hire him first.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Scotty 2 Hotty: Tag him with Cena. It'll work. They'd have to hire him first. Scotty is still on the roster. At least that's what the Smackdown roster page says.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Scotty 2 Hotty: Fire him, make him some kind of worker backstage instead, do something else. His gimmick is old and boring, and without the fat-ass, he's not that over. Plus he's balding, so the cool look really doesn't fit well anymore.
justsoyouknow 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I thought he got fired a long time ago, but I just checked the SD roster page and he's still there. Shit, fire him. He's worthless.

Aw come on... ...you don't want the EPIC Scotty 2 Hotty/Shannon Moore feud with the Cruiserweight Title on the line? ^^
claydude14 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I see gold for all of JBL's stable going into Mania. After Cena wins the Rumble or #1 Contendership somehow, JBL will help Orlando Jordan beat Cena on Smackdown! or No Way Out. Also at No Way Out the Bashams deft. Rey and RVD for the tag straps. Come on, you know it's coming. Vince loves JBL. I love Orlando, so I'm not complaining.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I'd love if they did a skit where JBL tried to recruit Funaki into his corporation and blindly makes racist comment after racist comments and goes nuts when he says No.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Didn't they do that with Angle and Essa Rios? Angle made racist comments about mexicans, and that lead to a mini-feud where Angle beat him in a match on Heat.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I was there for that Heat match. Angle's "Did you sell my shirt to buy Tequila?" thing was tremendous. Cena is way too cool for Scotty 2 Hotty. It's like pairing Snoop Dogg with any given member of Good Charlotte.
IWD 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 I thought he got fired a long time ago, but I just checked the SD roster page and he's still there. Shit, fire him. He's worthless. Last time Scotty was on TV was losing to Spike on Velocity in mid-October. I haven't heard that he's officially gone. Cheers.
Aero 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Since neither are doing anything, I wouldn't mind seeing a team of Scotty 2 Hotty & Shannon Moore. Both are decent in the ring, and the crowds generally love Scotty. Not to mention, WWE is in desperate need of tag teams.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 when are people going to let go of this unexplainable love for Sean Morley and Steven Richards...those guys will never be anything bigger than what they are....let go of the pipe dream folks...
spman 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Scotty is a decent lightweight worker, his match against Dean Malenko at Backlash 2000 is likely one of the best Lightweight matches WWE has ever done. Just give him some sort of new gimmick.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Scotty's window of opportunity has passed, age and injury have taken away his best attributes, and combined with the attitude era gimmick that is difficult to overcome he really can't compete Val, while still as solid a worker as they come and equipped with a good look/charisma, is also unable to shake his attitude era gimmick Richards really isn't perma-branded with a gimmick that fans can't get past, but WWE has wasted too much time with him
Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Fuck it, stick Val in Evolution. Have Dean Malenko or someone like that mentor him in the Arn Anderson type role. Hell, even Arn Anderson.... Obviously I mean on screen mentor.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Richards will never get a real push due to chronic injuries. Or even image injuries caused by working with Kronik. How about VKM claiming in not as many words that we wouldnt want a jobber like Steven Richards to win the title in the battle royale.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 15, 2004 Steven Richards probably asked him to say that, because when was the last time Vince paid attention to the Heat crew?

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 Scotty is a decent lightweight worker, his match against Dean Malenko at Backlash 2000 is likely one of the best Lightweight matches WWE has ever done. Just give him some sort of new gimmick. People need to let this go, too. That was 4 years & 1 broken neck ago. The guy throws Lita-level punches. The only thing the guy has going for him is the Worm. I don't know why he hasn't been let go yet, especially considering he hasn't seen TV action in, like, 4 months.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 16, 2004 I'm not sure either; He's hardly used on the house shows either. It seems like they forgot he's even on the roster. I'm tired of people refering to S2H's match with Dean as a indicator he can have value. Believe it or not; even the worst workers have a gem of a match at some point. Test had a couple ***1/2 matches in his career; that was not a justifiable reason to keep him. Same with S2H; one good match in 2000 when everyone and their mother was hitting ****+ left and right against a legendary worker like Melenko doesn't justify a job when he's injury prone and isn't usable enough for Velocity duty. It's not like Scott Steiner where they wanted to burn out a large contract; He's a lifetime tag teamer/jobber who can't have too big of a contract. It's not that he's currently injured as sometimes vince doesn't fire people when injured, he canned test whom had a broken neck recently. I honestly believe WWE has no idea he's even employed. Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted December 16, 2004 When was the last time Scotty had a good singles match anyway? Hanging on to 1 good match against a great wrestler nearly 5 years ago doesn't count anymore.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted December 16, 2004 He hasn't. Or least nothing memorable enough. I only remember his Malenko match @ Backlash, the Dallas 10 Man Tag Match, WM2000 with GMS and Chyna against Radicalz. Nothing else meant a damn thing or was meaningful enough. He might had a couple decent velocity and heat matches Im sure but again; nothing memorable. He's literally the most worthless roster member as of now.
