Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Not much, but he is in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and that might help him out quite a bit.
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Then Keaton did "Jack Frost" and it was like his big screen time was over for good. I believe there's a movie by the same title that's about a snowman who goes on a murderous rampage.
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Gary Busey. Drugs and doing "D.C Cab" with Mr.T twisted this former leading actor into something decrepit.

Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Anyone here think Harrison Ford is finished as a big time leading actor after doing "What Lies Beneath," which turned him into the bad guy?
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I haven't seen Michael Keaton since that movie where he had clones of himself to deal with. And what the hell happened to Rick Moranis? I haven't seen him since "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves".
Guest TheLastBoyscout Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Though he made films afterwards, THE BIRDS was pretty much the end of Hitchcock's career as it had been. The film was just too bizarre and different for the average person to "get."
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Anyone here think Harrison Ford is finished as a big time leading actor after doing "What Lies Beneath," which turned him into the bad guy? If that didn't kill it then Hollywood Homicide may have. He better hope that Indiana Jones 4 is something real special, because if it damages the series by being really shitty(like Lethal Weapon 4 to the rest of the series) then it could have people clamoring for him to just stay out of films. Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Dana Carvey. He did "Master of Disguise" as his big comeback movie after nearly dying on a surgery table and it just looked like he didn't care anymore. Does he have the same agent as Eddie Murphy?
Guest Failed Mascot Report post Posted December 20, 2004 There's suppose to be a Master of Disguise sequel, so don't count him out yet!
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 ...I like Lethal Weapon 4 a lot more than I do Lethal Weapon 2 or Lethal Weapon 3. Didn't Bruce Willis' career hit a slump after Hudson Hawk, and then just recently (in the last 5 years) pick back up with The Sixth Sense?

Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Yeah, I liked Lethal Weapon 4 more than 2 or 3. I thought Jet Li was a good villain in the 4th.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Masters of Disguise was a hit Sass. Dana prefers to stay at home with his family which is why he doesn't do much anymore
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Personal preferences and all. I thought the movie was incredibly too-cute and thought that Eddie Murphy had swapped bodies with Dana. His health is more important than his career and I hope that he'll do at least one more movie that gives him a proper send-off (if he calls it quits). MoD just doesn't seem like it would be the right movie to remember Dana by as his last (or even a sequel for that matter).
CBright7831 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Mark Hamill Star Wars killed his career. Yeah, I know, he does voices for cartoons now, but I don't count that. He honestly can't show his face on a movie screen anymore without doing a parody from Star Wars.

bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I know- I just don't think the movie 'killed' his career. Batman and Robin killed everyone's career for a while. Only now is Uma Thurman and George Clooney starting to recover
Sass 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Since Hamill's name was brought up... Anyone think Carrie Fisher was typecasted after Star Wars came out? She got work but did any of her movies spark something up for her?

Only now is Uma Thurman and George Clooney starting to recover "Starting" ? Cloonely has basically been in hit after hit save for Solaris since B&R and the Intolerble Cruetly movie. His career was pretty strong after the abomination of B&R.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I thought The Long Kiss Goodnight was a success...has she done nething since that? I know she did the archery deal for awhile. "The Long Kiss Goodnight" came out like *right* after "Cutthroat Island" and it starred Samuel L. Jackson who was still a strong name to have in a movie after "Pulp Fiction" immortalized his badass brotha image. The movie was a success but Geena did not receive the same amount of pub that she had received for CI. She didn't do any other movies until "Stuart Little" came out in 1999 so 3 years had passed for her. In all honesty, a mild hit like Long Kiss Goodnight isn't as big a story in Hollywood as a bomb like Cutthroat Island that destroyed a studio (Carolco Pictures) and broke up a marrage (CI star Davis and director Renny Harlin). Steve J. Rogers 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Christopher Lloyd after Angels in the Endzone. He had a career after "Suburban Commando"? Maybe not much of a movie career, but he was an exec producer on Frasier, so I don't think he was exactly crying for work... Different guy
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 Anyone here think Harrison Ford is finished as a big time leading actor after doing "What Lies Beneath," which turned him into the bad guy? Ford's career has been in the toilet ever since all the articles naming him as the 100% Can't Fail Box Office Draw. IIRC, that was about two weeks before one of the bigger bombs in his career, The Devil's Own. Since then, he did Six Days Seven Nights with Anne Heche and David Schwimmer (two winners there...), Random Hearts, Hollywood Homicide, and K-19 The Widowmaker. The only two moneymakers in that time were Air Force One and What Lies Beneath. That's not a good run from a guy who has 6 of the top 10 grossing movies of all time and had a 20-year streak of movies that were critical or commercial successes including The Fugitive, Patriot Games, three Indiana Jones movies, three Star Wars movies, Witness, Blade Runner, and Apocalypse Now. If anything, I'd say that What Lies Beneath probably helped him because it helped break the goody-goody stereotype that he's had for years.
Guest Big_Jay101 Report post Posted December 20, 2004 I liked both Multipalicity and Vegas Vacationm they both made me laugh a ton, and Open Range was a hit if I remember correctly, well I wouldnt say huge hit but it made about 59 million at the BO so it did ok and made more than budget back.
