It rewards people who stick around and contribute. Next, the levels. Since rasslin' is in a steady decline these days, and the site (thankfully) doesn't focus on it like it used to, the levels should move away from rasslin' references. Thus, I propose something like the following: Posts Title 0-50 OMG PBP~! 51-100 n00b 101-250 Troll 251-500 Takes his messageboarding seriously 501-1000 Future west coast mod 1001-2000 Currently lacking sunlight 2001-3000 Needs to turn off the PC 3001-5000 Has forgotten the outside world 5001-10000 E-hermit 10001+ Please donate a life

Trust me, I've seen it a million times. I like having the post count there to keep track of how many posts I've made, but offering up avatars, titles, or anything as an incentive for a certain number of posts will just cause the people who care about those trivial things to post crap at an accelerated rate rather than encourage them to regularly post quality topics. As for the user levels, I was wondering myself what they were, but I don't give a fuck what the titles end up as since I've had mine customized for a while.

I believe it even has a "peer" feature, where the other posters can rate threads and what not to give individuals more points. Then, there is a "shop" where you can spend the points. You can buy things like an avatar, a signature, a custom title, or you could spend your points to alter other people's things. Like you could change someone elses custom title to "Ignorant Spammer" or whatnot. It could spice things up. Some admin should either look into it or get ahold of Dames and see what he thinks. I think it'd be neat. If that was put on, post count and pre-determined custom titles wouldn't matter. I think that's a good thing.
