I'd like to see Johnny Nitro called up myself. I could easily see Nitro portraying a character similar to Jericho's WCW one, arrogant, obnoxious, whiny, ect al. He could even be given a talk show called "Monday Nitro" and have Stacy Keibler as a valet (she would be billed as the "Nitro Girl"). Nitro could use the talk show segment to get over even before his first match.

I hope not! Morgan and Nitro are names that are rumored to be brought back up soon, along with Chris Masters who has been touring with the Smackdown crew.

 

Tom Pritcard said in a recent interview that the problem with Morgan is that he doesn't know how to sell. His favorite wrestler growing up was Andre the Giant, and he needs to realize that even Andre had to sell to help get himself over.

 

They have him doing a masked gimmick in OVW at present. I'd expect he's doing that for a reason...

What was the reasoning behind Nitro's demotion? Was he stinking it up on house shows or something? I thought he was a great character presence and more competent in that area than pretty much every other OVW call up, and far as I can recall he never even worked a TV match.

EDIT: Just found out on the wire that he's out until January 13th, at the earliest.

They should have Johnny Nitro, appear on Raw in a segment with Bischoff acting all cocky and thinking "he's learned many business tips", since being away. And Bischoff tells him to go to hell. Then the next week on Heat, have a backstage segment with Heat GM Stevie Richards adding up the profits of Stevie-Corp and him looking pissed, because business isn't going too well.

 

Then in walks Nitro with a huge cocky smile. And says, "Hey, I see you need some help, Mr. Richards. Someone to carry the load for Stevie-Corp, while you become the main-event superstar that you obviously are, sir. So how about me, Johnny Nitro? I can be Vice President of Stevie-Corp and take this place to new heights." Then Stevie is like, "No, I'm not gonna make you Vice President, I'm gonna make you Senior Vice President, baby. Now, go make me a Sunday Night Sandwich, kid."

I'm begging for WWE to give Kevin Fertig's, Mordecai gimmick another chance. I liked his look, and his entrance was pretty sweet. For him to have been nervous about performing, I never found his matches to be too dull.

 

I would also like to see Johnnny Nitro return to RAW. If WWE would let him use some of his acrobatic moves that he used during Tough Enough, I think he could get really over. Even moreso than when he played the dick-heel personal assistant to Bischoff.

I wouldn't jump the gun on a Johnny Nitro return as it's pretty clear it wasn't his persona that was the problem. I don't remember for sure, but I recall he was pretty green in the ring. As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather all of these guys stick around OVW for as long as possible to make sure that they can bring the quality to the big time.

 

BTW, I like how the crappy writers couldn't find a non-copyrighted name for the guy for three consecutive weeks..week one Johnny Blaze, then Johnny Spades, then Johnny Nitro. I popped for him having the Monday Nitro theme.
