MillenniumMan831 Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Chronics theme was a ripoff of a Powerman 5000 song. And you have your late-90s bands mixed up. It was a Static-X rip off they used. Love Dump
Precious Roy Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 The Hendrix thing is incorrectt. He had two songs, Voodoo Child (slight return), and Voodoo Chile (slight return). Hogan used Voodoo Child, but there is a different Hendrix version named Voodoo Chile, which is where the confusion stems from. Stevie Ray Vaughn's version, while different, offers writing credits to Hendrix.
Guest korndogg123 Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Holy crap, I just heard Lex Luger's WCW face theme from the Monday Night Wars era on Sportscenter.
Guest Duncan Eternia Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 How could Alex Wright's music break the mood? He is Das Wunderkind. He is German Beauty. He had his little eurodance. It should have turned you MORE on. Alex Wright used to crack me up. I can't believe I was an Alex Wright mark when I was younger. AAAHHHH!!!! Anyway, didn't one of the Armstrong's use a rip off of the New Age Outlaws theme?
MillenniumMan831 Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Yeah, that was Brad Armstrong as Buzzkill . . . his gimmick pretty much being an openly doped up Road Dogg. Apparently, Road Dogg gave Brad permission to use the gimmick.

Paul Stanley Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I have over 350+ WCW era wrestling themes in my collection which includes all these, including Benoit's and Jericho's themes with lyrics actually. They were pretty cool actually.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Chris Jericho's themes did not have lyrics, to my knowledge. His first was the ultra-flowery stock music used as a face and heard on ESPN highlights. His second as face and then heel was the "Evenflow" instrumental, not done by Pearl Jam, just a cover with various modifications.
LoRisk Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 His first was the ultra-flowery stock music used as a face and heard on ESPN highlights. And that one STILL ranks as my favorite WCW theme.
Carnival Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Is there still any good websites for downloading themes? There used to be a bunch during like 99/00. anyone know of any good ones? skipper's WCW music was great cuz you gotta love/laugh at, any wrestler who sings thier own theme music(cough..HBK..cough) And who did jericho's theme? DX band?

Sounds like Michael Bolton did it. Then it became the Stock ESPN music Then Evenflow. Either way, Jericho always had good music in WCW HBK's very first heel theme with Sherri singing rocked.
