Anyone here familiar with the program? Is it easy, hard, impossible to lay down multiple tracks and mix them well without running into a litany of problems like not synchronizing and things like that? I needed the program so I can do production stuff for whenever I get that band o mine thrown together. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Cool Edit is good. i've used it for sequencing but just that. i don't try to build actual music on there, just sequencing.

i do all my hard work with all my outside gear and clean everything up on pc.

Reason is another good program to look at.

Good luck with your stuff. What kind of music do you do?

You should really get the band before you get the editing stuff.

It's so much easier. I hate bandmembers. My absolute maximum is three, and that's begrudgingly for a few months.

Uneventful lives and no families. Long hair.

For extra band members you're basically looking for warm bodies who can play the shit you show them. If you're lucky, you'll gain a collaborator that has a grasp on what you're trying to express in your music that can take it to another level. If you're not, you're giving up a larger chunk of the payoff when you play out.

Don't over stock.
