SpikeTV's showing 12 episodes of TUF starting Saturday at 9AM ET (probably the entire season back-to-back), leading to the finale at 9PM.

That's some serious MMA overkill...

The whole season could fit on two 6 hour tapes minus the commercials of course.

Better than 5 hours of Star Trek, movie of the week, 2 hours of Hip-Hop car shows.

Point, but it's now 5 hours of CSI instead of TNG.

OK, finally saw Sanchez-Koschek, and I'd have scored it 30-27 Diego. Koschek got some good takedowns in, but like the Leben match, he really didn't know where to go from there. And this time, the lay and pray approach didn't work because Diego is good from the bottom. It essentially comes down to Diego continually working for a tapout, and Josh escaping. I could actually see giving Josh a round since he did manage to escape almost every submission attempt (end of Round 1 being a notable exception) but the problem was that he had no offence one they were on the ground.

No idea where the 30-27 Koschek came from though. Maybe the guy doesn't understand MMA.

That's a good majority of US MMA judges right there.

I think TUF did a 1.6-1.7 this week.

I'm listening to the radio show right now on mmaweekly, and I have to say that I'm starting to gain some respect for Jason Thacker. I knew he couldn't be as much of a pussy as they played him out to be on TV.

I'm also thinking Sanford will KO Koscheck or submit him on the ground. Apparently he KO'ed him when they sparred the one time in practice, and he has the advantage off of his back and on the feet, so I don't see Koscheck winning unless it's a bullshit judge's decision.

He said that Leben rode him so much that he confronted him on the show, and that Leben backed down saying he was only joking. At least it showed that he didn't take it like a pussy, like they showed on the TV show.

But the main thing is, once the show ended, it was revealed that he didn't know about the spritzing during the show. He saw it for the first time like all of us on television. Right after that he called Dana White and was pissed off enough to say it was bullshit, that Chris Leben was a coward and that before he knew that they even had fights on the undercard, he called out Leben and said he wanted to fight him. So basically he didn't even know he would get a chance, but that he was "infuriated" enough to call out Leben and wanted to fight him on the finale. This is all from Joe Silva by the way. Apparently he's really pissed and wants at Leben. Hopefully he smashes that cat pretty good. I'm just surprised he didn't know that it happened on the show. Maybe he won't embarrass Canada too badly anymore.

So not only does that make me respect him some more, it also makes me realize that Team Quest didn't have to pull any strings for this one. At least this match will look much more interesting since we know Thacker is the one that made it happen. That's gotta be some advantage.

He may not be as mentally weak as he seemed on the show, but unless they overplayed how badly he did during training, I don't really know how he's going to take Leben.

I still don't think he can take him, but at least we know he's not the joke that he was made out to be. Maybe.

I heard somewhere that he said he has better striking than Leben and a better ground game. I don't know what he is basing that off of but I'd like to see Leben lose three in a row after being a huge prospect for the big time with one loss where he showed tremendous heart against a great grappler in Doerkson.

Do you guys think, in order to give the UFC's roster of fighters some mainstream exposure, that TUF should have had guest coaches each week, similar to what they did in (ugh, I'm sorry...) Tough Enough? They could've shown brief highlight packages for each guest coach and given them brief introductions. Take the opportunity to build-up their best fighters who we'll regularly see on the PPVs, rather than just a bunch of new guys who aren't nearly as good and may never make it on a card.

Rewatching Leben/Koscheck, should they have stood that fight up more? They seemed more apt to stand up Diego and Koscheck when there was no real movement on the ground, should they have done the same for the previous fight?
