Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2005 wide selection? shit I was going to ask if they had a SMALL selection of songs...I mean their song lists have to be like maybe 20 or 30 songs per genre because everyone sings the SAME songs every season...I was extremely bored last night for the first time this season...I though everyone sucked, personally...not a good show at all last night... I tend to think that the singers are always looking for that Whitney song, that song with the glory note so that they can "show off" their voice. I do think though, that with the crop this year, they generally (note: does not include Anwar or Scott) avoid the tried and true and do stuff that we don't normally hear. Now, it's normally still within the singer's comfort zone, but at least it's not always Whitney/Celine/Diane Warren... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kelly had several top hits in the 90s far more superior than the oversung "I Believe I Can Fly", most notably "I Can't Sleep" and "Down Low" so why choose that song? Scott last week with "Against All Odds"...that song has NEVER gotten good praise by the judges and it's been done every season...then Vonzell busts out a tired ass Whitney song and at that point I said to myself, jesus how small are their song selection lists... Carrie sang a martina mcbride song didnt she? youre thinking of jessica who sang the leann song, but in her presong video she mentioned that the first concert she ever went to was a dixie chicks one so the confusion is easy to understand (especially since they didnt show a graphic under their name with the song tile like they usually do) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

starvenger 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2005 It typically does. 6 is about where the really good get separated from the good enough, although if you look back at AI3, there were maybe 2 that I'd call really good, and Jennifer Hudson was eliminated way too early. MooreMark 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2005 Jennifer Hudson would have probably been a smark favourite of more people watched the show. She was a raw talent. Last year lacked diversity, everyone was pretty much the same. Fantasia, Latoya and Jennifer were all terrific but they were all basically belters and/or diva-style vocalist. It's a shame she can't catch a break when contestants like Scott, Anwar, Anthony and Constantine are soaring by. Oh well. I think that's all the girls that need to go for atleast four weeks. It seems to me that it doesnt matter your individual performances every week, each singer has a set amount of fans who always vote. and the cuts come down to how many people are able to get through and vote, and exaclty how many people decided to vote. myabe they need to register everyone in america so each can vote only one time for one choice. His constant sky pointing, thanking of Jesus, ridiculous outfits, and overall apperance grade 101% on the unintentional comedy scale and I want him around for as long as possible. Honestly? The name is just kinda there. She's got big breasts, and calling her Juggsica helps to distinguish her from the other reality show chicks with breasts that we ogle and call Juggs. Noticed by the fact when Jessica was eliminated they pretty much zoomed in on Carrie. It's like Jessica/Carrie, Bo/Constantine, Anwar/Nikko, Nadia/Vonzell, and pretty much Scott/Anthony for that whole 'person you wouldnt expect to be Idol, effect. Yea, in a way it's going out on a limb, but the judges and the way they present make it seem like, you should pick one out of two, until it gets down to five.
