I don't understand how the person is an American Idol when they don't sell any CDs. It just seems like a waste, watching a TV show all year, then not buying their CD. It would be like watching the BoSox during the regular season, then during the playoffs (when it really counts) stop supporting the team. The whole idea doesn't make any sense to me. So this thread is only for positive stuff about American Idol? And if you don't want to hear what I am saying, JUST IGNORE ME. Every time you tell me NOT to post in here, I'm just going to do it. It would be incredibly easy to start a new thread entitled "Why is it called American Idol?" and state your case rationally -- in fact, I'd suggest you do that anyway. You can have a nice, open forum about how AI is awful and it's name is a misnomer and how it'd be so much better if Joss Whedon was on board somehow. All I'm saying is, maybe you wouldn't get the same backlash that you've gotten by POSTING YOUR SHIT IN A THREAD FOR AMERICAN IDOL FANS. Constantine has got to have the lousiest rock band in the world because he really sucks when it comes to singing rock songs... Carrie is extremely boring when she busts out the country... Vonzell was good but SHE'S starting to get boring with her shit... I actually, for once thought Federov was halfway decent last night... Bo was alright I guess... Scott is history after tonight... Very bad show this week...I can't remember what exactly he said, but Simon got in a very quick shot at Paula's problems after the first performance...something about "after the week you've had I can understand why you're like that" or something... Actually, you've been discussing why the winner won't be "America's Idol", a similar argument to "it's not really reality" or "it's no longer sponsored by soap nor is it an opera". BTW, how does a show that's consistently a top 5 ratings draw need Whedon's help, when his shows can't even crack the top 40? Anyways, back to the show analysis. Constantine - I guess he's more an emo guy? Like I said, Nickelback was not the right choice for him. Carrie - Asians and country music don't really mix, so I'll give this a pass Vonzell - The more I think about it, it was more a poor arrangement than poor song choice. Christina Aguilera does that thing where she powers through a song like this, and if you don't try that it sounds kinda weak. Which the first half of the performance seemed. Bo - Having fun counts for a lot. It was more about performance, sure, but unlike Constantine Bo let it all hang out, and it showed. Sergei - Good performance. He made it seem like it wasn't a Celine Dion song, and that's very much a good thing. Mr. Emotion - Same shit, different week. What I mean is when she's on tv or somethin, they are like its Kelly Clarkson, not the american idol kelly. To a lesser extent, so is Clay. Though when they start appearing at shows in the audience (liek clay last night( and even singing (fantasia Im looking at you) you know they arent doing that great. Quick thoughts form last night: Bo: Okish, nothing to write home about, what was up with his shirt? Constantine: Horrible his worst eprformance in weeks and worst of the night IMO Stick to crooning, man. Carrie: Bad song choice, nuff said. Vonzelle: Stale, boring, unmemorable, she should be going home soon and Christina should show up and spit on her. Anthony: Great job, his best this month. Scott: Bad choice of song, ok at times, but problems with some notes not as bad as Constantine last night IMO, but he'll prob get the boot (and I won't complain) And I came to one conclusion, there hasn't been any real good music in the decade.
