Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 I feel bad a little for Anthony. I think he has a good voice, but he suffers from being too plain. He has some power there though, voz is good i guess but sounds like 50000000000 others just like her. Maybe I'm just hopin for something different. hey at least I predicted it right this week. I still think a Bo and Carrie finals. I'm rooting for Bo now. btw E showed corey clarke on howard stern earlier tonite. He came across as more of an a-hole than he did on primetime. Though I do think his story MAY (not saying it is true) have some truth to it, he is clearly trying to make some publicity out of this.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 I think that the three that remain are all talented. I hope that Bo wins, just for something different. Plus he did bust out the Allman Brothers earlier. That was enough to get my support for the thing. Quick question, would you buy an album from any of these remaining three? I like Bo, but not enough to cough up money. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Votes for Ruben = 5 times every week Albums from Ruben I own = 0 I watch for entertainment, but I'm not buying that shit...

Hoff 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 I might buy an album from Bo, but I like his stuff, so it's not exactly a shock.
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 being that I hardly ever purchase albulms except as gifts, NO. and I dont mean I DL Stuff I just dont buy records. Im not that into music, but ll listen to the radio at least. Carrie could be a good country star, as she sounds no worse than any of any singers I have heard. (granted im from new york so country music isnt my cup of tea) Bo might have a decent carreer, as hes rather oldschool in his singing and performance and very much a rocker. Vonzelle will probably get lost in the shuffle like Fantasia, ruben, and every other idol runners up (even though she had a different unique voice, the company made TAsia her record the same lame r and b crap that is out there from every one else)
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 Have any of the other winners or runner ups been successful besides Kelly Clarkson? She is the only one that seems to have moved on from the label of "former American Idol". I don't really listen to the radio (especially pop stations) so I have no idea. How have album sales been for the winners?
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2005 call me crazy, but I have always prefered it when Carrie sang anything BUT country...not because I'm not a country fan, I know a good voice when i hear it, but she seems to pull off other genres better... Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 Both of kellys records did very well, plus I hear her more on the radio, on tv, in films, then I do anyoen else in idol history. To me she was the best singer ever on Idol.
Mik 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 Ok, but the numbers and facts say that it's Clay. Not by much, but still.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 Did Clay even win? I thought that Ruben guy won. I guess he wasn't as marketable.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2005 he is marketable, just not to the rabble that buy worthless shit like Clay's CDs...I don't think Ruben has been marketed correctly, though...American idol was on the right track with all the "Velvet Teddybear" nonsense, but whoever took over his production tried to give us 400 lbs. R. Kelly...he belongs on the R&B side guys such as Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, and even Brian McKnight (you know the guys who REALLY did R&B) belong on, not with dinky pop acts like Usher

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted May 15, 2005 I hope Bo does not win. I dont want Idol producing his album. Carrie would suit the Idol Production far more. I think Bo would be REAL Sucsessful if he signs his own deal and gets non-Iodl producers.
Mik 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2005 Handicapping the final: Carrie: 2-1. Never has been in the bottom 3; good fit for all demographics; easily will sell many country records Bo: 5-1. Been in the bottom 3 once, but hugely popular Vonzelle: 50-1: Been in the bottom 3 at least half the show, including last week. Voice has been strong at times, but awful in others It's a toss up between Bo and Carrie, in my opinion. I hope Bo wins, he's something different and I think he could actually deliver on a good album. Now, as for the songs... Season 1: Kelly and Justin both sang, "A Moment Like This." Season 2: Clay got "This is the Night" and Reuben got "Flying without wings" due to their very different vocal style Season 3: Both Fantasia and Diana got "Believe" and the other crappy song If Bo makes it to the final 2, I think they'll have to go the season 2 route and give them totally different songs, but if it's Carrie and Vonzelle, they can give them the same song... I think.

starvenger 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 Don't forget that Ruben was in the bottom 3 once, I believe when there was still 5 contestants left... Yeah, that was the time that Josh Gracin probably should've been in the bottom two, and everyone (including Josh) seemed to know it. Ruben gave what is probably known now as the "George Huff look" (pre-Huff, natch) but I don't think that there was as much chance of him going home as Seacrest and the producers would have you believe. Mik 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 I have a theory as to why Reuben, Fantasia, and now Bo have been in the bottom 3 ONLY ONCE. They are the obvious favorites all along. Somewhere mid season, their fans get lazy and don't call in. Why bother, there is no chance of them getting eliminated, right? Well, they end up in the bottom 3 (again, just one time) and their fans will never forget to vote again. If Seacrest went in order last week... He told Bo to sit first, then Carrie, then Vonzelle before sending Anthony home. If it's random, it's random. But if it went in order, it would help to confirm my theory because Bo's fans are probably voting in mass now.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 how bout we have some extra performances...not whole groups because those suck, but like a duet or two here and there...as opposed to Seacrest trying to be clever with his eliminating routines...
Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted May 16, 2005 how bout we have some extra performances...not whole groups because those suck, but like a duet or two here and there...as opposed to Seacrest trying to be clever with his eliminating routines... yea that would be better lush, however apparatnly likes Ryans heel work more than we do. and I agree on the voting cuz I have not voted since like the first week of the final 12, cuz I just assume certain ones will get their votes. As I said before, have we ever seen the supposed counting people who count the supposed votes?

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted May 18, 2005 Just saw Round 1 Vonz was nice- but nothing too special Bo was quite good, altho the song was quite safe, vocally. Carrie was very very nice. Didnt go as much as she could have. Carrie up slightly on Bo, Vonz third.
