I haven't had it since Rams/Titans, but I woke up with that special Super Bowl Sunday feeling. Ah, how I missed it. Nothing'll match the morning of Patriots/Packers when I was so excited I kept failing to notice I was trying to use buttermilk for my cereal and wondered why it tasted like ass over and over again as I read every single word of coverage I could in the newspaper.

 

Is there going to be a thread for talk during the game as well?

Yes. We'll have a separate thread for the game itself (someone else will need to start it). There also might be a game chatter thread, if someone wants to start one. I doubt I'll be at my computer for the game.

I won't be here for the game, I'm going to a Super Bowl party with an open bar from 5 to 11.

 

I'd like to say that it's been a great season, and win or lose, I'll be here tomorrow to either celebrate or congratulate the Pats fans here. I won't talk too much shit if they win(I probably can't say the same for UTSU though.....)

Fuck off, I'm a wellwisher. I always pick a team to cheer for on Super Bowl Sunday. And 10 of the last 13 times it's worked out in my favor, the lone exceptions being Rams-Titans, Packers-Broncos, and Cowboys-Steelers.

It's hilarious to see the bitchy and angry "Jacksonville sucks" consensus from the reporters and such; don't they realize they are going into something even worst next year? Instead of dealing "unbearable" 50 temperture and slight fog and rain, they will be shoveling snow every three steps they take, wearing 3-4 layers of heavy clothing.

 

I'm tired of the "They should only play @ New Orleans, Miami, San Diego and add Las Vegas" mentality.

 

I'm sick of seeing those towns get it over and over again.

So anyone think the Eagles will forego the individual intros this year and come out as a team? I would think TO would come out of the tunnel on crutches, drop them, and do the Ray Lewis dance again. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't mark a bit for that.

I don't think the Patriots have done the individual introductions ever.

I hope the NFL makes both teams do individual introductions. The coming out as a team thing was cute the first time the Patriots did it but when both teams did it last year it was just annoying. Hell I wish they'd introduce both the offensive and defensive starters for both teams instead of just one unit.

I like it. It's the whole Patriots thing, that they may not have the better players but they have the team concept.

According to Sal Paolontonio on ESPN, Koy Detmer nearly caused a riot by coming out of the team hotel to the bus wearing a grey pinstripe suit with a matching fedora and a cane. Considering that Koy usually buys $100 worth of clothes at Target for the year, this is hysterical....

As a fan of neither team I didnt find that game boring at all it was an up tempo game that was a lot of fun to watch. Not the best SB ever mind you but far from the worst.

I felt it was pretty nondescript. The energy was certainly there though, much like there'll be tonight for Eagles fans or if there would have been Steeler fans there.

It was pretty good compared to the previous Super Bowls. Super Bowl XXX was kind of close but all of the Super Bowls before that were blowouts and NFC wins.
