MARTYEWR 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 More than a few laughs, apparently. That reminds me: I noticed on Highspots that there's a Kevin Nash Shoot Interview available. If it's not Feinstein's project, I think it's a perfect opportunity to band together and convince Teke to come out of retirement.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 Highspots and ROH are both selling plenty of new, exclusive, non-Feinstein shoot interviews with a wide variety of interesting people.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 Before money was ever a factor in the equation…I think the first year I was in wrestling I actually lost money. It’s one of those deals where at the beginning of your career you’re a starving artist. As compared to the majority of wrestlers, who never make a profit on their wrestling careers. when I went after Goldberg for the WCW World Title, the internet contrived these stories about how I used my influence and political power to get the title from him. But my influence had nothing to do with it. HE. WAS. THE. BOOKER. Not "on the booking committee", not "friends with the booker", he was the head booker of WCW at the time. Do they think I came back just for the money? C’mon – how much money does one person need? I’m back in it because I want to see TNA grow – period. Then why did he accept a salary of $5,000 per show, making him one of the highest-paid guys in the company? Other than those specific piles of bullshit, it was a surprisingly candid interview, especially talking about his health problems.
Guest Astro Report post Posted January 26, 2005 Nash claims he didn't beome booker til the finger poke of Doom, it was his reward for playing Hogan's games
Guest Loss Report post Posted January 26, 2005 Nash was actually on the booking committee as early as September of 1998 and it was being reported as early as November that he took over for good when Hogan "retired", which was a work on the entire locker room. He did get the booking position for the fingerpoke angle, but he already had it before that. He had a website at the time where he was doing almost daily commentaries on how great it was to be booking and how he had so many wonderful ideas for Norman Smiley. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 Nash claims he didn't beome booker til the finger poke of Doom, it was his reward for playing Hogan's games That's a lie. Nash became booker just before World War III of 1998.

Jacques 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 If you take 100 of my critics and give them my knees, I guarantee you they couldn’t even get out of bed in the morning. Well said.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2005 NASH: It amazes me after being around for 15 years – when I went after Goldberg for the WCW World Title, the internet contrived these stories about how I used my influence and political power to get the title from him. But my influence had nothing to do with it. Have I always had influence if I wanted it? Sure. Even when I was Diesel I had pull if I wanted it. But being seven feet tall and 300 pounds, the fact is you have influence in any room you walk into. Whoever is in control in that room, you walk right up to them and slap them in the head. Then you’re in charge. If you take 100 of my critics and give them my knees, I guarantee you they couldn’t even get out of bed in the morning. I was a basketball player in college and my career was over after a severe knee injury. They told me I would walk the rest of my life with a limp. I still have it a little, but I worked my ass off and did pretty damn good in wrestling despite it. I’ve even had major neck surgery and I still do what I do. Do they think I came back just for the money? C’mon – how much money does one person need? I’m back in it because I want to see TNA grow – period. Me and TNA are talking long term commitment now. Here’s something for those critics to think about: Maybe the reason I want the NWA World Heavyweight Title is I can help TNA go to the next level with exposure through movies, talk shows, etc. The critics can say whatever they want to about me, but the fact is I’m still able to do this thing better than most. Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2005 Nash is so great. He was doing Hunter's thing before Hunter's thing was cool. If you consider screwing over everyone in the company for your own personal gain cool.
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted January 27, 2005 At least Triple H is honest... usually. He won't fake anything, he'll just say blah-blah isn't ready/worth for the World Title or whatever.
Guest FromBeyondTheGrave Report post Posted January 27, 2005 "If Nash is able to win it, he will be the only superstar besides Ric Flair to have held the NWA, WWF and WCW World Heavyweight Titles." That's just wonderful.
