Tawren 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 Note: Any Americans watching the show and reading this at the same time might want to skip my post as us Canucks get it an hour earlier than you, and thus I am going to be discussing the second hour of the show. Fun show. Opening six man was good, with Rey doing a lot of crawling around making fun of the hosses. This was a lot like Raw's six man in that it wasn't that eventful but it was a lot of fun. The finisher train at the end to put away the heels was nice. About as good as a match with Reigns/Jindrak/Jordan/Booker T (circa 2005) is going to get. I missed most of Cena/Suzuki, but what I saw looked decent. The Cruiserweight four way was good cruiser fun. Not great or anything, but lots of good spots. Funaki flipping London over the top rope and to the outside chest first was insane. I also liked the roll up sequence at the start. And of course, London wins and makes it into the Rumble. Hooray. The Joy/Amy (are those their names? I think so) stuff backstage was lame. Dawn Marie was the only chick I recognized. They really need to give these chicks more characters than "slutty #8" or "smiley whore #10". Main event was good. I think JBL is getting a lot of heat from the people here that he doesn't deserve, as he was really good in this match. Great facials and selling. Angle played his part well, too. Superplex was a nice spot and a good tease. The brawl around the ring was heated and really where JBL started to shine. I liked the idea of Angle taking out JBL's ability to get up with the ankle lock but they never went anywhere with it. Finish was good, with JBL doing a great selling job for the chair shot. Just John 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2005 I actually liked SD this week. Three of the four matches were good. The 6-man was a good opener, the cruiser 4-way was fun, and the ME was much better than I expected. JBL wasn't bad at all during that match and Angle did his usual stuff.
