Love the show.

I thought the Christmas episode with the Crumpus was hilarious. It's too bad it might not survive until the second season.

I love this show as well. The Venture Brothers is a great parody/tribute to Jonny Quest, comic book super-heroes, and pulps.

The first season was great, and I hope that the show is picked up for a second and third. I believe the ratings are quite good for the reruns.

It took a few shows in for me to start paying attention, but it's now one of my favorites. I love all the references and parodies, and a majority of the episodes stand up in multiple viewings.

As for a renewal, the reruns have been getting great ratings and usually finish at the very top of their nights, the last time I checked. If it isn't renewed, I'm guessing it'd be because of a money issue since it seems like it would cost more to produce than Adult Swim's other stuff.

The pirate episode(the corpse of that pilot just standing there screaming was a fucking riot) and "Are You There, God? It's Me, Dean" had me about to die from laughing so much. I hope and pray to Jeebus that it's picked up for new seasons and that the Monarch is still the big villian because he kicks 20 different kinds of ass.

Guest Smell the ratings!!!

Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend make the show. They should be in every episode. I think my favorite is when Venture has the yard sale for all his assorted secret gadgets.

Love the show.

I thought the Christmas episode with the Crumpus was hilarious.  It's too bad it might not survive until the second season.

It's the only ep I haven't seen, but I think you mean "Krampus."

Why wouldn't it survive to see a second season? It's getting some of the best ratings of any of the Adult Swim shows. When it's on the same night as Futurama/Family Guy it usually comes in just behind those two, and it even beat Futurama one time. Recently it got something like 900,000 estimated viewers according to the AS ratings reports.

I love the show. Hilarious in so many ways, from the physical comedy, great one-liners, and awesome parodies (Ice Station Impossible > the Fan 4 movie). The writing is top-notch, the animation style is very cool, and they have plenty of talented voice actors. It's hard for me to really say who has the best lines. Monarch and Dr. Orpheus often have the funniest ones, but Dr. Venture himself often chimes in at exactly the right time with a killer ("Thank you everyone, you've been a lovely audience" after Orpheus hams it up at the trial).

I loved the old Tick animated series, so I'm glad to see the folks involved getting another shot.

The average Ventures ep so far is funnier than *any* episode of Family Guy or Futurama I've ever seen, and funnier than a lot of Simpsons eps in that show's prime.

Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend make the show. They should be in every episode. I think my favorite is when Venture has the yard sale for all his assorted secret gadgets.

The show has too many great characters to overuse them. The Monarch rules, but I personally wouldn't mind seeing more of Phantom Limb and the like.

Also, yeah--that may be my second favorite ep behind the Trial of the Monarch. Ah, who am I kidding. Probably it's tied with second with...most of the eps. Yeah, Trial of the Monarch 1st, the ep on the space station 3rd, and pretty much every other ep 2nd. *I*

"It was all sound and fury, signifying nothing" (after coming out of the port-a-potty)

"I'm not flushing! Let them see the wrath of the Monarch!"

"Want to do it on his bed? Let him sleep in our genetic filth?" "Nah."

"What can I do to this guy that life hasn't already done?...I don't even feel like taking a whiz on this. I used to DREAM of taking a whiz on this!"

It's a good show. I'm a fan of Brock Sampson.

SAM-SON! No P! :P I was worried he'd be overwhelmingly the star at first, but they use him very well, not overdoing it.

I'll still never get over him killing a guy with his ass...

It does not look good since they killed off the brothers in the final episode last night.

They gave a few hints throughout the season that the boys weren't "naturally" conceived. Example: In "Are, you there God? It's me, Dean" Dr. Venture mutters about Dean's malady that he "should've fixed that in the prototype phase". Also, in the latest episode he says "Okay, get their clothes".

One of the creators has a blog and he was begging people to watch the Christmas Special back in December because it needed the ratings. They find out at the end of next month if it gets another season.

I thought the first few episodes were really weak, especially the pilot but it picked up steam creatively and I think it's a pretty dope show now. It seems like each episode has improved on the previous one, and the animation style, especially the tones, is "refreshing" as The Replacement put it.

The ending to the first season was a sort of "out" in case Cartoon Network didn't renew the show......

This show is hilarious. I'm hoping and praying that they get picked up for another few seasons. I've seen all the eps at least twice but I still tune in and watch them because they're just hysterical.

My favorite is the yard sale also. The Monarch screaming "You dick!" brings me to tears every time I hear it. "The Trial of the Monarch" is also good.

"You know he was beating his invisible meat all over the place!"

Yeah, I love this show. Definitely one of Adult Swim's better originals.

Plus, they introduced Jonas Venture Jr., so even if Hank and Dean are dead the title still works...

If they cancel Venture Brothers than what will replace it, its not like Squid Billys or Stroker & Hooper have a future.

Well, Tom Goes to the Mayor has been getting decent ratings. I personally don't have a clue why. I hate it. Besides, that's one of the fifteen-minute specials anyway.

Perfect Hair Forever is supposed to be getting more eps, though.

Every non-williams street non-bought out show seems to have a handicap on [as].

If it's not already made they don't seem to want to make more.

If it's not Williams Street, they DEFINTELY don't want to make more.

I watched 3 minutes of one episode and that was enough to never watch that show again. It's not as bad as Super Milk Chan but then watching paint dry is more entertaining than that show.

Correction--I meant 600,000. :P That instance was on a weekday, though. Often on the weekend it usually places in the top 3 still.

And the Christmas ep didn't get any advertising that I saw and wasn't on at the regular time, so meh.

Oh, and I love Super Milk-Chan, hate TGTTM. *Shrug*

I only saw two eps of TGTTM, but I guess that's all there are.

They're running ads for Robot Chicken, which uses Action-Figure-mation. Could be interesting, but--come on, parodying Kill Bill now? Geez. Was it held back for about 2-3 months?

Yeah I had seen that too but for some reason he didn't seem confident about it as of December. It would be stupid to cancel since it's almost tripled it's audience since August.

I loved TGTTM at first, but all these repeated episodes have soured me on it quite a bit. They actually put out five or six episodes, which is only marginally better, so that point still stands. There's still a lot of potential there, though.

Meanwhile, I used to hate Super Milk-Chan, but it's grown on me. Things like the Belgian Waffles Guy from the first ep are just so ridiculous you can't help but love them.

I like Tom Goes to The Mayor, but I've liked every Adult Swim original series, the humor used in them just connects with me every time.

Super Milk Chan has grown on me alot. It's just so fucking insane and bizarre, that I simply can't look away from it. Also, the theme is incredibly addictive.

When Milk Chan gets too gimmicky, it may not be entertaining, but the original ep (the Belgium Waffle one), the Punishment Missile ep, the one where the pigs tried to defect, nearly anyone with the robot dog in it, the ep with the killer bear on the loose, and the one where the President's cat ran away (which had plenty of disturbing lines in it...) all were hilarious.

There's so many eps where they go for weird gimmicks and they may or may not turn out well.

Back on topic, any announced released date for the Venture Bros. S-1 DVD?

Venture Bros. is a funny show with great comedic lines and references. There are so many directions they could go should they make the second season.

Super Milk Chan is hit or miss with the off-the-wall comedy. I either get a "WTF?" laugh out of it (ie The President talking about his lost cat) or nothing at all (ie the entire NG episode).
