The One and Only JLU Season 2 Thread

Recommended Posts

I figured there would be one started already....

So thoughts on the first episode of the new season? I thought it was kinda so so. Wasn't bad but wasn't up to the normal snuff of the series.

The continuing build between Canary and Green Arrow was done well I think.

I loved the way they portrayed Black Canary, they really captured her personality. I thought that the flirting with Green Arrow (especially the training session) was great. I can't wait until the double date episode.

I thought the episode was great, especially after last week's episode which was really disappointing to me(I guess because I never was a big fan of Batman Beyond). Black Canary is my favorite female hero, and I thought that she was portrayed to perfection in this episode. Can't wait for Gail Simone's episode since she is the reason why I'm a big Black Canary fan. It was my favorite episode of the series so far.

Also have to add that thanks to JLU and Identity Crisis that Green Arrow is the comic book character of the year.

Next week: Mr. Miracle, Big Barda and the return of the Flash!!!!!! Oh Yeah!!!!

On a related note--the Batman: Animated Series Vol 2 DVD set it out. I picked it up yesterday at the West Mifflin, PA Circuit City.

$34.99--not bad. =)

Wal-Mart may have it a few pennies cheaper, though.

Some good news to pass along.

From Cartoon Network

Justice League Unlimited has been given the greenlight for a third season of 13 episodes, for a total of 39 episodes.

Justice League Unlimited: This season, Black Canary, Shayera, Vigilante, Vixen and The Question step up to face such villains as Lex Luthor, Felix Faust and Tobias Whale. And Superman takes on Cadmus in a battle that will determine the future of the league. Twenty-three new episodes will air in 2005.

Vixen? Man, that's digging deep into the well of Justice Leaguers.

Good for CN to greenlight a third season, although I suppose it's a no-brainer for them. Hopefully they can give us a Giffen-DeMatteis-Maguire-era Justice League ep.

Next week: Mr. Miracle, Big Barda and the return of the Flash!!!!!! Oh Yeah!!!!

I was disappointed with this ep, but that probably has to do with not caring much about Fourth World stuff that doesn't directly involve Darkseid and/or Metron...

JLU has been very hit and miss so far, but when it's good, it is good. Even the less than stellar episode have something enjoyable.

Next week will be good, with Superman fighting the REAL Doomsday and Batman uncovering information on the government conspiracy.

That should say they greenlight a 4th season, since the third started back in July.

I think they actually split the 3rd season into halves and decided to call a new "season" for publicities sake, especially since there was no break in between seasons 3 and 4, and they were running previews for episodes from this "season" during the credits of various season 3 shows. And all the other seasons had twice the number of half hour episodes.

The Cartoon Network originally agreed to have two seasons of "JLU" with 13 episodes a season. Now they have officially renewed it for a third.

The confusion stems for the fact that some people consider JLU to be a continuation of "Justice League". Thus JLU season 1 is sometimes referred to as the 3rd season of Justice League. However it looks like the Cartoon Network is treating JLU as a completely separate show.

Still sounds like a cheap publicity stunt if you ask me, for reasons I already listed.
