Back when I bought that CD (Doggystyle), there was a track called "Gz Up Hoez Down" which seems to have disappeared from all future copies. Also, it listed a track called "The Next Episode" which didn't appear until Dr. Dre's "Chronic 2001."

Can anyone explain any of this?

"Gz Up Hoes Down" was pretty short and came after "Pump, Pump" right? And as for "Tha Next Episode" (Tha, not The, see), I remember the title but I don't remember the song. It's possible that it was the skit where Sam Sneed's bitch "chooses" Snoop, right around the same area as "Pump, Pump." The one on Chronic 2001 is simply "Next Episode."

It's possible that the two tracks were combined with other tracks or that they were removed altogether.

I bought Doggystyle when it first came out on cassette, but my car was stolen in January/95 so it was lost. Do you need these tracks?

"Gz Up Hoes Down" was removed because of sample licensing problems. I'm not sure about "The Next Episode", I've read that they recorded the original version of the song during the Doggystyle sessions, but I have no idea why it was listed on the CD when it didn't appear there. Maybe they decided to pull it from the album at the last minute.

This is a widespread question. I just ran a search. "Tha Next Episode" and another song called "Doggystyle" (feat. George Clinton!) were removed at the last minute, but I guess they forgot to take the song name off the prints. I'm reading that the song "Doggystyle" is pretty damn tight.

My guess is that the cassettes would have been too long, even though the CD's could hold the songs. Strange how they didn't simply make them bonus CD tracks.

Hey as long as "Serial Killa" never goes anywhere, it's all gravy.

Deep, deep like the mind of Minolta, now picture this!

Let's picnic inside a morgue,

Not pic-a-nic baskets, pic-a-nic caskets,

And I got the machine, that cracks your fuckin chest plates,

open and release them guts,

Then I release def cuts

I also liked Tha Dogg Pound's album.

Kurupt: Good.

The Lady of Rage: Decent for a chick rapper.

Nate Dogg: Hated his singing.
