Gay Simpsons episode

The fact they even did a cop out ending where the wedding didn't happen kinda ruins it as well. It wasn't bad enough the Simpsons did an episode based on a situation that happend last year, but fucked it up too.

Maybe they should've aired this in November, when Gay marriage was still being discussed in some states.

You realize how long it takes for an episode to be made, right? They start doing the Halloween episodes in December.

Utterly predictable ... a lot of us were guessing Patty and/or Selma from the minute it was announced.

And, considering that it's a subject that I don't support, I laughed a few times, out loud at least once. When Marge said her stupid line about not caring if the person has a ______ (whatever she said) or a Haw-haw, and then Nelson popped up with a "Ha-Ha", I cracked up. I don't remember the other funny parts, but I blame that more on being high while watching the show than anything to do with the episode itself.

I know that... a animated series that is backed up nearly a year in production shouldn't be making episodes about something like that. IT would be like a show doing an episode on the recent Tsunami incident (around Christmas) in July. Only South Park can, since it takes about 2 weeks to make an episode for them.

No one mentioned Homer's line to open up Patty and Veronica's wedding:

"Queerly beloved, we are gathered here today......"

So the queer was one of Marge's sisters? That's a stretch. And she married a LPGA player? How witty. Lemme guess, they're now going to move to ... SAN FRANCISCO?...

No it was a guy pretending to be a woman, so he could play on the LPGA tour.

I don't get all this fake Simpsons hate. Sure the show is not as funny as it's prime years, and granted I miss more then my fair show of modern era episodes, but when I do watch the Simpsons it still manages to be enough to make me laugh, and enough to make me watch it over anything else in the same timeslot. It's not like a show can maintain it's level of comedy for 16 seasons.

Like the Super Bowl episode with Flanders' version of 'Passion of the Christ' which came out about a year ago. South Park actually did do an episode about that around the time of the release, too.

Homer's Phobia was a MUCH better episode.

yes it was that is probably my fav simpsons episode (along with the city of ny vs homer simpson)

but the gay marriage one wasnt too bad. It still had a few lol moments which makes it worthy for me.

homer kissing himself was freaking hilarious (reminds me of the ep where marge gets her kitchen redone and enters the baking contest and homer has a daydream of himself living next to himself)

and "the passion of the jew" was much better than this years superbowl simpsons episode
