Hunter S was just... insanely crazy (if thats possible), and had a great writing razor-sharp writing style. i cant fathom anyone saying he was a bad writer. i can understand thinking what he is writing is shit, opinion/points-wise, but as far as style, using words in a lyrical fashion, he was a master. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy any of his stuff but if I saw one under 6 bucks in paperback then I'd have considered purchasing it. Kind of a shrug of the shoulders from me.
