Head 2 Head Fantasy Baseball 2005

Recommended Posts

He'd probably be available later, but I really want him, and he'll be a good keeper, so I'm just gonna take him now. Filling out the rotation of Juiced Up:

Surgery necessary for Trachsel[/url]]by Fanball Staff - Fanball.com

Thursday, March 17, 2005

News

Mets right-hander Steve Trachsel will need surgery to repair a herniated disk in his lower back, reports SportsTicker. They are reporting that the procedure will be performed this weekend by Dr. Robert Watkins at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles. "The pain was pretty much with me since spring training started," Trachsel said. "Sure, I didn't want to miss any time, but it's better to get this over with sooner than later so I can get back on the mound." The team will establish a timetable for his return after the surgery is completed.

Trachsel has been a workhorse for the Mets ever since he joined the team prior to the 2001 season. His injury means that they'll be looking for another starter to emerge this spring. Fantasy owners should cross his name off their cheat sheets for now and we'll update his recovery timetable once one is established.

Uh HQ... Are you seeing things?

Says the proper thing... ^__^;;

Ok, instead of being an ass, I admit there was Cartman there instead of STR for some reason.

well I regret this already, but I choose alleged Cubs closer Joe Borowski.

he's not good enough for a picture.

Shit, Yahoo says Trachsel's supposed to miss 3 to 12 months. Why couldn't we have done the live draft this weekend instead of last weekend?

Rules regarding Trades

Basically it'd be all trades go through unless it's grossly awful(Ex: Trading on opening day Albert Pujols for uh...a guy who has a season ending injury that everybody knows about in Spring Training). The reasoning behind this is because with majority rules, most people nix the trade because A) they fear that your team will beat theirs if it goes through or B)It's not the trade they would do.

Now you can all argue about this day and night but in the end, it's what the two owners who are apart of the trade are doing and they'll do what they think is best for the team. I'd like to think everybody in this league is fairly smart as far as baseball goes so they'll presumably have a good reason for any trade they do.

First Trade of the Season

Crimson Storm Receive:

OF Barry Bonds

SP Jason Marquis

Round 6 Pick

Round 7 Pick

Warts Whackos Receive:

OF Johnny Damon

SP Roy Halladay

Round 2 Pick

Round 3 Pick

With the addition of Barry Bonds via trade, the Crimson Storm decided to go out and get someone to sap away Bonds strengths.

Crimson Storm select: Mike Cameron, OF, New York Mets
