Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 How many keepers are in the league? 4 or 8?
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 Thanks, BTW, I made you a trade offer.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2005 I sent you a counter offer.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2005 Just so everyone knows, and thinks the trade was uneven, it was:  Hawaii 5-0 receives: Mike Lowell 2nd-round pick  It's The R receives: Derek Jeter
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 I'm up to 4th place in the league. Things can change, but right know not bad for such a young inexperienced team. I like my changes to contend however long this league continues.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 God damn Javier Vasquez single-handedly costs me an 8-0 victory, forcing me to settle for a 6-2 win because of his 9 runs in 2 innings shitfest. Â Felix Hernandez gives my crappy pitching hope though, he's a keeper for as long as this league lasts.
treble 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Thank God. If I had started Koskie and Belliard instead of Erstad and Walker I'm pretty sure I would have won in runs, HRs, and RBIs, rather than a tie and 2 losses. Â My team is bad enough as is, I don't need to be unlucky on top of that.
Styles 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2005 My team is like my real life team, The Orioles, free falling with no end in sight. I've plunged down to 14th, and with every move I make it seems to get worse. Guess I'm playing for draft picks now.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Looks my team needs Tommy John, ACL, MCL, surgery.....DAMN.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Why the huge jump for keepers? I understand the switch from 4 to 6/8 that you keep, but 10 really dilutes the draft pool and makes the draft picks useless to those that were positioning themselves for next year.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Dynasty rules! Besides do you want to wait 72 hours between draft picks?
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 I don't mind the elevated keepers so much since it allows you to build, but by the same token, I'm not a fan of the 5 hitters/5 pitchers rule. I was heavy on hitting and planned to blow up the pitching and start again. Oh well, I'll play by the rules but consider that a petition for change.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 I don't like the 5/5 rule either. Maybe 8 keepers, free for all is better?
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Eh, whatever I actually managed to find 5 pitchers off my god awful team I wouldn't mind keeping.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 Will you change the rules? I was never a fan of the 5 SP and 2 RP setup. 7 pitchers is ok but I would like to keep my options open for different lineups.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2005 10 is fine with me, even if I am still unsure about how most of my keepers will do next season.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 Theres no way I have 5 offense/5 defense that I wanna keep. Â So, will there be a sorta supplemental draft if I dont wanna keep all 10 so I can make the picks up? Â .. Â Edit: I managed to find 5/5...
Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 Dynasty rules! Besides do you want to wait 72 hours between draft picks? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>  Well, I was thinking about this season's teams that finished out of the top 8.. After the 200 players that are designated as keepers, what is left? How do they improve their team?  This is not a complaint, just a suggestion.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 My keepers are in. Never did i think Jeff Weaver would be someone i'd hold onto in a keeper league.

treble 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2005 Are we dropping any teams for next year? I know that it was mentioned somewhere (either here or at the league board) a while back and I know that there were some inactive teams this season. Â And, is the draft order determined by our records for this year? Please tell me that it is.

Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2005 I'd imagine Flik (left TSM) and Smell the ratings!!! (fell of the face of the earth) would be out, so that would put players like Barry Bonds, Jim Edmonds, Andy Pettitte, Todd Helton, Carl Crawford, Ichiro and David Ortiz up for grabs. Â Considering where i ended up i hope the draft is in the reverse order of where we finished as well.
