I love Pulp Fiction, but I'd consider Satuday Night Fever or Grease to be Travolta's signature movie.

Young John, old John. They might as well be two different people.

I think Pacino is easily Scarface. Tony Montana the character is as well recognized as the movie itself, I wouldn't say that about Michael Corleone.

John Wayne, that's a hard one. Rio Bravo probably. Maybe True Grit.

This is a toughie, but does Al Pacino=Scarface or Al Pacino=Michael Corleone?

i hope to god it's michael corleone.

jean-pierre leaud - 'the 400 blows'/antoine doinel. the most obvious choice ever for this category, except for lugosi.

johnny depp - 'ed wood'. obviously not in terms of popularity, but i think this role best sums up what depp's style and choice of chracter/niche role is all about.

steve buscemi/william h macy/frances mcdormand - all 'fargo'.

John Wayne, that's a hard one. Rio Bravo probably. Maybe True Grit.

i think he's one of those guys like bill murray or charlie chaplin whose persona is so consistent over films that it doesn't really matter which one you pick. with some exceptions, you more or less know what you're gonna get from him whenever you see him, which makes it hard to identify any one movie role that "stands out."

nah. more of an aberration than a signature. nobody hears the words "steve buscemi" and thinks "whoa, what a sly gunslinging motherfucker!" buscemi is the weird-looking quirky guy who's a bit of a loser but strangely funny and likable. his characters in 'living in oblivion', 'trees lounge' & 'ghost world' have a much stronger affinity to the 'fargo' character than the 'reservoir dogs' character.

Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden in "Fight Club"

I wouldn't say that's his signature movie exactly, definetly his best one but to really sum up what Brad Pitt's about hows about his turns in Snatch or True Romance?

Ben Stiller- Zoolander- turning the daft character into an art form!

I'm not sure about Fight Club, but it's definately not Snatch or True Romance.

Honestly, I don't even remember Brad Pitt being in True Romance.

Fight Club Brad Pitt's best movie? Maybe... I never really thought so. I'm not a Fight Club hater either... but when you sit down and look, maybe it is. It's definitely his signature role, though, that I'll say.

Tom Cruise... I'm going to say Top Gun. There's a few other possibilities.

Thelma and Louise was Brad Pitt's breakthrough role, that's probably what most would remember him for. That, or "Legends of the Fall"...
