bob_barron Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 I couldn't get into Never Scared for whatever reason- I need to see it again. Time for Clint to kick Martin Scorcese's ass.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 AWESOME. DiCaprio deserved it just as much, but Foxx beat him by a hair, fantastic. Best acceptance speech besides the Motorcycle Diaries song one...
Ted the Poster Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 It's been a good year for Ray Charles Not really. It's been a good year for Ray Charles-realted stuff though.
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Then again, the average film goer has a life and something to do instead of posting nerdily on a forum. *proudly wears Forum Nerd shirt*
Styles Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 What did Sean Penn say earlier? Chris Rock in his monologue used Jude Law as a running joke about how movie makers need to have higher standards with starring roles, and Penn had a stick up his ass about it and was like "no matter what our host says, Jude Law is a great actor, a great actor" and held for applause. It was like, get a sense of humor dude...
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 YES JAMIE FOXX!!!! So well deserved. Great night so far: Freeman won, Swank won, Foxx won, now it's all about Clint winning.
bob_barron Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 AWESOME. DiCaprio deserved it just as much, but Foxx beat him by a hair, fantastic. I have a feeling Foxx win in a landslide
Hank Kingsley Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 oh man, if Scorsese doesn't get this...
AndrewTS Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Julia Roberts. My feelings of indifference are...eh...
Yuna_Firerose Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 I wonder what's with the indian-esque theme? Julia Roberts! Ha! Running joke. Like she deserves to be even NEAR the Oscars. Miss Congeniality 1 & 2, anyone?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 And Martin gets screwed yet again.
Guest Askewniverse Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Like the average film person is watching. Most probably skip to the last hour, or half hour, when all the good shit happens. Those people are probably the same idiots who complain during a foreign film because they hate reading subtitles. Damn. Is Scorsese ever going to win an Oscar? If any director deserves one, it's Scorsese.
bob_barron Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 CLINT CLINT CLINT CLINT CLINT CLINT

Ted the Poster Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Barron just creamed his pants.

As a fan of some subbed anime, I find that outlook on subbed films to be most annoying.
AndrewTS Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 And Martin gets screwed yet again. The Academy was F***ING WITH YOU, MAHTY!

Miss Congeniality 1 & 2, anyone? I don't think we should take for granted where Oscars end up. Shoot Marisa Tomei still has one on her mantle, assuming she hasn't sold it.

Yuna_Firerose Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 'Fockers' as a wink-wink-nudge-nudge kind of joke is *so* overplayed.
