i know there was a wcw wrestler, who looked exactly like eugene. but i cant quite think of his name at the moment.

edit: oh i just realised, you weren't saying the interviewer looked like eugene ........

Nope it wasn't the equalizer, he was in the next match, this guy wasn't playing a gimmick, he seemed to have a genuine affliction, he interviewed Davey Boy Smith just before the Orndorff/Equalizer vs Scorpio/Bagwell match...

And yes WCW had a handicap interviewer - his name escapes me....

Perhaps this is why he was chosen to play Doink in his WM debut at X7.

Was it actually Dinsmore who portrayed Doink at WrestleMania X-7?

Dinsmore's WCW results, for anyone that's interested:

Kaz Hayashi on WCW Saturday Night 29-Aug-98 lost

Evan Karagias on WCW Saturday Night 19-Sep-98 lost

Brian Clarke on WCW Nitro 21-Sep-98 lost

Ernest Miller on WCW Thunder 25-Sep-98 lost

Horace Hogan on WCW Saturday Night 26-Sep-98 lost

Scott Steiner on WCW Nitro 28-Sep-98 lost (with Lenny Lane)

Stevie Ray on WCW Saturday Night 10-Oct-98 lost

Norman Smiley on WCW Saturday Night 26-Dec-98 lost

Scott Armstrong & Steve Armstrong on WCW Saturday Night 09-Jan-99 lost (with Mike Sullivan)

Cheers.

I remember during the indentured Saturn phase when Kanyon was supposed to face Dinsmore. He's standing there, berating Dinsmore when Saturn showed up after he pitched Lodi in a river and started breaking Kanyon's fingers. Dunno why that stuck out in my mind.

Can anyone confirm that Eugene/Nick Dinsmore/Whatever you want to call him was Doink at WM X-Seven, or is it just a "he wrestled as him later on, so it's probably him" type rumor?

I always assumed that Steve Lombardi (Brooklyn Brawler) played doink at wm x7 but I might be wrong. Dinsmore played Doink at Vengeance 03 in the APA Barrom Invitaional Brawl and the sd right after when Rhyno sent him to face Benoit

Lombardi was in the gimmick battle royal as The Brooklyn Brawler actually.

I found a couple sites that say Dinsmore played him, and considering how long he was under the developmental deal, I can see this being true.

I'm amazed how people always forget that Dinsmore wrestled Chris Jericho on Nitro as "Bore Us Malenko."

Lombardi was actually Kim Chee in the Battle Royal.

I've got the Smackdown match from 03 which had Rey/Kidman vs Los Conquistadores and one of them is clearly Dinsmore, the other I think is Conway....
