I clean up litter where I see it if it's nice outside, and I minimize driving so as to limit toxic emissions. Probably more than some people who wear their environmentalist badges do

Oh yeah?

Well, I take public transportation. And when I'm not doing that, I ride my bike.

And I recycle. Bottles AND cans.

Suck my dick, hippie.

No, it's even better, you go up the chain, you REUSE your posts.

That's good.

(I won't make the inevitable joke that some people, certainly not KKK, need to REDUCE their posts)

Yet you always argue against it in every-fucking-single environmentalism thread.

You don't even address ANYTHING else.

The SCIENCE of environmentalism encompasses far more than just global warming.

Such as?

A reduction in trees?

How about species extinction?

Costs of municipal trash?

Overpopulation?

Environmentalism is a cult and nothing more. It's the Branch Davidians with slightly fewer guns.

I don't quite get how recycling or properly disposing of motor oil, or driving a fuel efficient car makes you part of a cult. I guess the question is "What is an enviornmentalist" ? I mean, I am somewhat concerned about certain aspects of the way americans consume needlesly, and are willing to throw out so much at the drop of the hat, and am kind of worried what would happen if this attitude/philosophy spread to other countries that currently don't consume like we do. In other words, does the world have enough natural resources to support mankind if say, it ever got to the point that 50% of the world consumed at the rate America, CURRENTLY does? Now this is certainly an enviornment-related issue, that has nothing to do with global warming.

I don't have a car at school so I have to walk everywhere, sometimes four miles to get somewhere. I recycle bottles, cans, plastic, AND paper.

I don't either, but I'm sure he'll soon tell us why were all idiots for ignoring such an obviously logical conclusion.

Environmental dick measuring contest. Good to get a break from the political dick-waving.

See, here's more of what I'm talking about:

The human race is living beyond its means. A report backed by 1,360 scientists from 95 countries - some of them world leaders in their fields - today warns that the almost two-thirds of the natural machinery that supports life on Earth is being degraded by human pressure.

The study contains what its authors call "a stark warning" for the entire world. The wetlands, forests, savannahs, estuaries, coastal fisheries and other habitats that recycle air, water and nutrients for all living creatures are being irretrievably damaged. In effect, one species is now a hazard to the other 10 million or so on the planet, and to itself.

Whoops, bad link. Heh. http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/st...1447863,00.html

And the report, to be generous, is bullshit.

This is what I'm talking about.
