res37618 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2005 Somehow, I think that they'll drag the old-ass HHH/HBK feud out of the woodwork for WM22, in a title match/loser-must-retire match, or something of the sort. I can see Orton/Cena or something like that on the SmackDown side. As for the possibility of Benjamin being groomed for next year, the next few months will be interesting to see. He may even "test the waters" in a B-level PPV main event (winning Money in the Bank and challenging Batista or HHH) to see what he's got. There's definitely tons of potential there though. . . . Right now, it's really hard to say. Who'da thought we were gonna get HHH/Batista for this year's show, we were all just certain HHH/Orton was gonna be the money match this year. Unless an unfortunate accident happens...just kidding I really don't know what to expect at Wrestlemania 22. With the 'alleged' draft happening again there are a lot of possibilities. Dimensions 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2005 I'd like to see... HHH (Champ) vs. JBL for the World title...the match won't be great but I think the feud would be good. John Cena (Heel WWE Champ) vs. Eddie Guerrero...I'd like to see Eddie in the main event against a heel John Cena. Randy Orton(Heel) vs. Undertaker II...I think that this is where Taker should lose his streak. Orton can build his credibility as a heel over the year properly and then I think most people will consider him a real threat and worthy. I wasn't rooting for Orton this year at all, I like the guy but he just wasn't ready this year. Everything felt rushed. Kurt Angle (Heel) vs. Shelton Benjamin...I want to see Angle on Raw and I think a match against Benjamin would be badass next Wrestlemania. I also think if they bring Benjamin to the next level during this coming year, this could be his breakout singles match. Paul London vs. Psicosis (Champ) vs. Rey Mysterio...for the Cruiseweight title would be badass and add your choice of gimmick (ladder) and this will be a show stealer. Charlie Haas (Heel) (US Champ) vs. Carlito Carribean Cool for the US title would be a solid match but the feud might be iffy depending on how they build Haas from now til then. HBK vs. Chris Benoit (Heel)... they've gone at it before but they haven't had their own feud...I just want to see Benoit beat this shit out of HBK cause that's the Benoit I like. Blood feud like HBK/Angle this year...but you know, without Benoit acting like HBK. i think thoses matches would be great for a Wrestlemania but it leaves out Show, Batista and other plus the tag titles and the IC title. I really dont want Angle to keep wrestling another year. Orton/Taker II? Gah. and you left Batista off. Batista/Taker works better since Batista is a more legit threat then Taker. Granted Mania is the bigger show but I'm too sure about your rationale here. If they aren't good at either role than I think it wouldn't matter. However, I do think that this could be the few times a heel vs. heel feud would work. And I think the fans would be into it. Orton/Taker II I think that would work depending on how this coming year works. I'm thinking the WWE still want Orton to be the one so I'm trying to think of what they can do. I think they can play it off as Taker is the legend that got away from him and he'll continue to pursue the Legend killer shtick. As I said, Orton wasn't ready this time around but I think and hope that after another year he would be where he should be with decent booking. I wouldn't have Mysterio win the match but I think he would be a good addition. What do you think would be a better alternative for Mysterio? And I'm just predicting Psicosis would stick around but if he doesn't you can replace the guy with Super Crazy or Akio. The only way he would be in any world Title match on PPV is if there's 5 other guys in it. WWE hasn't shown the slightest interest in ever pushing Jericho again(if you can really call WWE's first attempt...or lack of one, a push). The Main Events will probably be... Raw: Triple H vs Shelton Benjamin(I can see Shelton joining Evolution and turning on Triple H in time for next year's Mania...I can't see "creative" coming up with much else) or Triple H vs Shelton vs HBK.
