Gary Floyd Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Here ya go http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=58437 I'm totally going to fuck her; then run her over with my stolen car
NoCalMike Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Anytime you come out on the same side as Rick Sanitorum(sp?) you better rethink your position.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 Does it really surprise you that it's coming from someone who hung around Tipper Gore for 8 years.
Special K Posted March 30, 2005 Report Posted March 30, 2005 "This is a silent epidemic of media desensitisation that teaches kids it's OK to diss people because they are a woman Word up. +2 points for 'dis', -1 point for neglecting to use 'shorty' or 'bitch' instead of 'woman.'
The Czech Republic Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 It doesn't matter whether Hillary Clinton is pandering to the left or the right, as she's been known to do lately, she's still insufferable and reprehensible. Funny how that works.
2GOLD Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Yeah, this'll be the first woman President. Not of the USA, but I can think of a few places she could be the first woman President of. Video games don't make kids kill people, stupid people make kids kill people.
Slayer Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 When it was posted in the Minnesota shooting thread, I said this: "This is a silent epidemic of media desensitisation that teaches kids it's okay to diss people because they are a woman, they're a different colour or they're from a different place," [Hilary Clinton] said. It's not? Also, 58 year-old woman using "diss" = comedy
Guest MikeSC Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Well, her husband IS an honorary black man. -=Mike
The Czech Republic Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I wish John Kerry had made a bid to be an honorary black man. So much comedy left unexploited.
BUTT Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 He did. He said that if Clinton was the "first black president", he wanted to be the second.
The Czech Republic Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Oh yeah you're right. Haha. Still he should have made comments about how he appreciates a little meat on those bones, if you know what he's sayin'.

Since the latest VG thread on the subject was old, the Minnesota thread was the more relevant place for it. Sadly, Lieberman was satisfied with the ESRB and hasn't really made a big stink about the issue since.
Boon Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Who was it a few months ago talking about how people love Hillary Clinton? Damn fools. Unfortunately, this is relevant to me b/c I'm doing a paper on violence and video games. New working title- "Why People Hate Hillary"

Jobber of the Week Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 At this rate, I will only vote Hillary for President unless either Michael Savage runs as the Republican, or Bill Clinton becomes UN Secretary General. The latter is only so that I can tune into Rush & Hannity after election day and hear their tortured cries.
Guest Cerebus Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Remember Teresa and the whole "African American not African-American" debacle? I can't believe I honestly thought that Kerry was electable back during the primaries, I'm still kicking myself in the ass for that.
Guest Loss Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I think what I hate about the Clintons more than anything is that they don't know how to be genuine. At all. It's like Hillary thinks extreme liberalism and extreme conservatism combined somehow makes her a moderate, when in actuality, she's just nuts.

The latter is only so that I can tune into Rush & Hannity after election day and hear their tortured cries. Why would anybody bitch that Clinton is UN Sec. General? It's a rather pointless office and it seems to fit that one of our more useless Presidents would get the honor of holding it. -=Mike
SuperJerk Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I'm not interested in debating the Clinton record, but his accomplishments far excede your perception that he was useless. Remember Teresa and the whole "African American not African-American" debacle? Um, no.

Remember Teresa and the whole "African American not African-American" debacle? Um, no. Teresa is from Africa, but isn't "African-American" (you know, black) or some such nonsense. And, yes, Clinton was a dud President. Not quite Carter levels of dudness, but an unmitigated dud. -=Mike
Guest MikeSC Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 Whatever, Mike. You want Hillary. I wouldn't fuck Hillary with your dick. -=Mike

I'll cut off the debate right here and say that I disagree with your opinion, and leave it at that.
LessonInMachismo Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 He did. He said that if Clinton was the "first black president", he wanted to be the second. Don't forget his wife's claim of being an "African-American." Man, I would have won either way in November. Bush wins, yay for me. Kerry wins, yay for four years of comedy. As for the GTA thing...the liberals don't like games like this because they glorify the evil objects known as firearms. This position is no surprise at all. The thing about being a gun-grabber is that you are consistent. I just don't understand it. Are we supposed to ban these games? They have ratings on them.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 They are being marketed to OUR CHILDREN. Well, not mine, since I have none. They are being marketed to YOUR CHILDREN. You have kids, right?...
Special K Posted March 31, 2005 Report Posted March 31, 2005 I don't see why we can't just ID for games and end this whole stupid debate. No one ever tries to do anything about it, they just bitch because it makes them look righteous. How about you reccomend an alternative? "Parents: buy your kids Katamari Damacy. Male and female, black and white, young and old, it doesn't matter in the dark.... I mean when you're grabbed by an enormous, mystically sticky ball."

Well, I do know that Wal-Mart cards, since I've seen it and psuedo-done it myself; ie, explain to the parent that "this particular game" is not made for his/her age level, and wouldn't be appropriate for him/her. However, more often than not, the parent just breaks down and buys the game for the kid, to get him/her to stop whining. It's not the kids who need to be educated; they're already far smarter than their parents in this regard. The ones we need to teach are the lazy parents of the world.

You have kids, right?... I grew up on GI Joe and other violent shows and games. I turned out fine. My son is 3.5 years old. I say 8 is a good age to play violent games, with supervision and an ongoing dialogue. As for the marketing...who buys it? The parents. This is the USA and we can make and play any games we want.
