Battlestar Galactica

I think that he didn't blow the tomb when Apollo told him to because of him program, he was being literal when he said "I can't."

In fact, they never explained how he found it, he just had this, urge to go there.

You know what they should really do to end this series? I mean honestly.

Have the Cylons end up being destroyed in some way. And then in the end when they are on Earth, it can be revealed the final five Cylons are Lee, Adama, Roslin, Bill and Starbuck to end it. That would literally mess with everyone if the whole damn top of the cast were Cylons.

And have Adama snap Gaius's neck like a twig when he realizes that they are all Cylons.

Roslin being a Cylon would just be way way too much of a coincidence. I mean she was 44th in line to be president right? And she only is around because she got really lucky after the Cylon attack. Like the Sharon thing made sense because it's logical that the Cylons would have agents in the human fleet, so in that same manner I could see one of the other people from the fleet turning out to be a Cylon. And something's clearly up with the Chief, what with all the temple stuff and the episode where he went crazy.

So what could be the reasoning behind Xena seeing one of the final 5 and being so surprised and saying "I'm so sorry"?

Oh and "God, tell me the truth before I die."

"Welcome home Mr President *Pistol Whip*" was badass.

I just don't think it was Tyrol- I eman, he and Caly had a kid, surely they did bloodwork on it, and would have found out anything suspicious from that.

As for the whhole temple thing, I think it was meant to be divine intervention. If he had destroyed it, he might not have realised what the Eye of Jupiter was supposed to be.

Helo being a Cylon would be both a mind-fuck and make a lot of sense (except for the whole Helo and Sharon having a hybrid baby together angle).

Not sure if this will actually happen, or if it was a dream sequence, but on the preview for tonights BSG they showed a scene

where Baltar come out of a ressurection tub on a Cylon Baseship.

Pretty sure it's going to be a dream sequence where his brain thinks he is when they pull him out of the body bag. Something tells me that the whole "I am a Cylon" thing is going to be milked until the end of the season. Which I'm fine with cause he does a great job and it distracts from the few lousy storylines they got running.

You know, despite the Baltar stuff this was a pretty disapointing episode. I don't really buy 'Drunk Lee', as he has to work with Tigh and knows what it would be like, and the whole Kara/Lee storyline just dominated too much of the episode. When did the Chief and Cally start having problems? Why the frack would Adama allow a bar to be built on what I'm guessing is the starbord hangar bay? and what happeend with Sharon, Helo and their kid? Heck, they even glanced over th whole Caprica Six deffection by squeexing it into a deleted scene that youy only saw part of after the episode!

All in all, the best parts about this episode were Adama, Baltar, and Bad-Ass Roslin.

I fucking hate the Lee/Kara/Anders/Dee stuff. I hope this was the end of it.

The exploration of Cylon religion is also becoming tiresome. It works in small doses, but it went from being a means to an end. It went from being a way of motivating the Cylons to being genocidal maniacs to being the theme the show revolves around. I liked this show a lot better when it was about people coping with survival in the faced of a hostile enemy.

I haven't like this season since they left New Caprica.

Well, so far this episode's heads and shoulders over last weeks. Mental Baltar, Helo and Tigh going at it, and a good old-fashioned mystery instead of the infernal love-story of the past few weeks.

Disagree. This episode is up there with last year's "Black Market" on the totally non-essential list. It was one of the most straightforward, least subtle or interesting or layered episodes, and all the characterizations seemed off and shallow. Plus, why were all the refugees on the ship? Total disconnect from the previous threads of the season without any explanation beyond 10 seconds of "Previously on" scenes that weren't actually previously on.

Being disappointed in an episode of BSG is particularly, well, disappointing, because it's usually stellar.

Okay, I was actually wondering when Helo got moved to the Hanger deck. And the way things are going, those 'Previously on' scenes were probably cut scenes from an earlier episode. I'm thinking every episode on the Season 3 DVD's is going to be extended.

Still, you got to admit that this was way better than last week (and much better than Black Market, though I can see the comparisons).

Though I'm wondering now if Roslin will figure out that Baltar has been seeing Six in his head, now that she's seen the real Six doing some of the same things Baltar did in earlier seasons (interacting with nothing, to be specific.)

Guest Starks

What a terrible, terrible episode. Easily the worst since "Black Market" in season 2. Sloppy written and it did almost nothing to advance the plot of the series. Ronald D Moore commented on his blog that the introduction of the Sagiterians was to be built upon in a latter episode which has now been cut. The only redeeming parts were Roslin and Zarek discussing Baltars' trial and the return of Caprica 6's imaginary Gaius Baltar.

It probably didn't help that I was going into this episode expecting the trial of Gaius Baltar, only to be hit with a Helo filler ep that had scenes in the "previously on..." section that I couldn't even place. (Was Helo being reassigned to refugee duties shown in a past episode?)

In other Battlestar Galactica news:

Battlestar Galactica renewed for a 13 Episode Season 4!

http://community.tvguide.com/thread.jspa?threadID=800008633

I think this is for the best. Season 3 has been floundering under the weight of filler episodes that have been poorly written. A 13 episode order will hopefully result in a leaner more focussed show, of what should be the final or penultimate season. (Better to go out on top then overstay your welcome)

In a sci fi portal interview David Weddle said the question still remains on whether this will be a 13-episode season, or a 22-episode season, so it might be longer. They have syndication rights to think about, after all. You need about 90 episodes for that and I think the plan is five seasons only.

I used to listen to the podcasts. Moore & company really think they're making THE GREATEST TELEVISION ON TELEVISION~!!!1111, but the show has pretty much been pretencious exploration of fictional religions and modern marital problems, instead of...you know...a science fiction adventure show. I can barely watch it anymore, and (judging by the ratings), neither can a lot of other people.

I think they realized that, and are now trying to move away from the religious stuff.Maybe the rest of the season will head back into what made the show truly great in the first two seasons.

Those phantom "Previously On" scenes have been an ongoing thing since at least last season. The first one I remember was the episode where Apollo became commander of the Pegasus. Ever since then, I just think its either been a running gag, or Moore & Co. are just really getting lazy about planning ahead.

Interestingly, the woman king was written by Michael Angeli. The same guy who ghost wrote Chyna's biography.

An episode of BSG was written by a wwe writer. Wow. No wonder this episode sucked.

You know, my problem with the last couple of episodes haven't been about the stories, but about their placement. Specifially the last two, and the upcomming episodes- First, Cally and Tyrol are put in a life or death situation and barely surive, then the Chief is leading a strike against Adama, and next week Starbuck breks down, despite looking alright this episode. I know that, in the show, time passes, but it still moves too fast at times.

'the hell was that!??!?!

I sure fuckin hope Starbuck wakes up in a Cylon resurrection tank... or that she ejected and the mystery Cylon raider picked her up.

Otherwise this would be a really pussy way for a main character to die.

She'll be back, before the end. Not the end of the season, but the end of the series.

What did you all think about the deal with the lights going off as Starbuck approached on Galactica, then turning back on when she walked back to Adama?

This show's getting dangeroulsy close to X-Files land where nothing ever actually gets explained, but they just keep piling on new unanswered questions.

potentially huge spoilers from TWOP regarding the final 5

Chief, Tori, Anders and Tigh are Cylons. All through the finale they keep hearing this piano music that no one else can hear and eventually they follow it and meet up in a room and they start freaking out. A resigned Chief says "we're cylons" because he'd always suspected anyway.

take it with a grain of salt..but what this poster says aligns with much of what the tv journalists (who have seen the final 3 episodes) are saying.

EDIT:the guys at TWOP were forced to take the spoilers down, which may give them an extra dose of credibility.
