Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 A great bottom of the 9th in Miami. After Livan shut down the Marlins all game like he always does, Delgado hit a game tying HR. Two batters later, LoDuca drilled what looked to be a sure HR that saw all the Marlins stream out onto the field, but it hit just off the top of their very high scoreboard. To extras. Now there's the Alf I remember.
Mik 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I don't get it. Anyway, Nationals win. It was a tough loss.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Alfonseca gave up the GW homer. I was quite used to such performances during his stint with the Cubs.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Twins playing Cub like ball. Can't even advance the runners on base, try to hit HR's, and play poor defense. Oh, and Carlos Silva on the 15 day DL with a knee injury. He's probably going to miss a majority of the season.
Mik 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Alfonseca gave up the GW homer. I was quite used to such performances during his stint with the Cubs. Yeah. I'm not too high on him, but I think he'll be good as an 8th inning man. It was just a tough way to lose. The LoDuca ball looked to be a sure HR, and then Pierre's double with 1 out set the team up, but no one could drive him in. I just hope McKeon snaps out of it and moved Encarnacion back down to #7 from #2. A few great games doesn't make him a great hitter and he has no business batting 2nd. Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 White Sox beat the Twins, 8-5 in Minnesota, to take a 2-0 series lead.
mike546 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Encarnacion batting 2nd? Doesn't he have like a career .300 OBP or something?

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Id just like to say that the Orioles Bullpen is the worst freaking bullpen I've ever seen Id just like them to send Kline and Reed back to St. Louis/Colorado respectively..they're horrible.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Fuck this shit, I'll be a Braves fan now. How 'bout this for a sig?

Mik 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 What spot is Castillo in? They switched them for the first game and he hit 7th. He didn't play today.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Hey, being a Braves fan has its benefits: a winning team, still can hate many of the same teams, and a link with Bob Barron!
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Id just like to say that the Orioles Bullpen is the worst freaking bullpen I've ever seen You haven't seen the Giants pen in action yet, have you?
treble 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Every fan thinks their team has a bad bullpen.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Well, across the board bullpens have been pretty shitty thus far. I think there's a lot of merit to the idea that relievers are getting hit hard by the steroid witchhunt, because a LOT of guys are getting lit up
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I don't think there's any worry that the Cubs pen has been robbed of its performance-enhancing drugs: everyone looks a lot like they did at the end of last season.
DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 C'mon Smoltzie, beat these bums! EDIT: Ramon Castro at catcher for the Mets? Stupid Mets
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Bonderman picks the worst time to get rocked. Six runs in the first inning. Not what I needed to see today.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 So what was the deal with the TBS.....Worst Case Scenario Audio 6? It sounded like they were running the announcers through the PA system. Hm hamburgers! COME ON SMOLTZ STRIKE EVERYBODY OUT!!!!
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Well, Giambi's defensive shortcomings just cost the Yanks their starting pitcher for the day. After missing a pop-up in foul territory that should've been caught, Mora's at-bat was prolonged. On the next pitched, he lined one back up the middle, SMACKING Pavano in the head so hard that the ball shot over to the Yanks' dugout.
mike546 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Fuck you Giambi and you HAVING to play 1st first base. Drops an EASY popup, which leads to Pavano getting hit in the head with a hit, and he has to leave the game.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 The Braves shouldn't wear red, it looks awful. And the Mets are in black, they look like damn softball teams out there. Good thing Smoltz has 9 Ks in four innings, so there's something legitimate about this game.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 1-0 Braves on a double by Johnny Estrada. I wish I got TBS so I could see the awful uniforms
Guest Smues Report post Posted April 10, 2005 1-0 Braves on a double by Johnny Estrada. I wish I got TBS so I could see the awful uniforms They aren't the worst thing I've ever seen, but they are quite bad. You should be more sad that you're missing a great pitching matchup. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I guess they're not horrid, but they just look very Spring Training-y.
mike546 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I'd again like to give a whole hearted fuck you to Giambi. Why he STILL plays 1st, I have no idea. The Yanks look dead, and are rolling over to Cy Lopez.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 I keep track with Gameday. I've gotten so used to tracking Nets and Memphis Tigers games on the computer that I don't mind it. I still get into the game just the same.
Guest Smues Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Redness I had an image in my head that the red uniforms were going to be even worse, so these don't seem that bad to me. Can't see it too great in this photo but I like the hats.
