JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 - William Regal & Tajiri defeated La Resistance to retain the World Tag Team Titles. La Resistance got lots of heat, while Regal & Tajiri got a very good pop. The first ending saw La Resistance pick up the win to win the World Tag Team Titles. The referee then ordered the match to be restarted when he realized the legal man did not make the pinfall. When the match restarted, Tajiri got in the green mist and his kicks to pick up the pinfall. After the match, Regal got on the mic and said they have beaten just about any tag team around currently in the WWE. He issued a challenge to any other team that wanted a shot at them (I was expecting The Shane Twins to possibly be brought out, but then again it was Heat). So who is it going to be? PLEASE tell me it's going to be MNM and not the Shane Twins. Regal/Tajiri vs. MNM at Backlash would be great.
Guest Dazed Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Why on Earth would they book the false finish, cheating to win and arrogant open challenge like that, when Regal and Tajiri are the faces, and La Resistance the heels?

haws bah gawd 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 For the same reason they had Shelton Benjamin cut a cocky heel-esque promo against Jericho on RAW last night.

Enigma 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 The same reason why Eric Bischoff allowed Triple H to compete in a handicap match against two wrestlers and then immediately wouldn't let HBK compete in one against a wrestler and his manager in "good conscience," while apparently putting HHH against Jim Ross in MSG is in good conscience. I think last night just showed how important that Tom Chehak guy was that just left the creative team.

Guest Fook_Theta Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Actually the problem isn't with WWE, it is solely with Regal. Regal has been bitching for months now that he wants to be a heel but creative is just barely smart enough to realize he's over much more as a face/cocky face. One of the few problems at WWE that isn't solely with management. MNM should be brought out since they've had the most dark match time. Taking comedy AMW option. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 "Why on Earth would they book the false finish, cheating to win and arrogant open challenge like that, when Regal and Tajiri are the faces, and La Resistance the heels?" First line of my sig. Also acceptable is "VIAM." Does this actually mean anything, since it's on Heat? It'll probably just be a thrown-together tag team of singles guys that by some miracle escape the cuts. I'll say Mark Henry and Viscera.
Dark Age 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 How have they beaten every team? They have just beaten La Rez about 20 times. And Dean and Maven, but they don't count.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 HHH wouldn't need Flair. 1 HHH > two Dudleys and a Booker T.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 12, 2005 HHH is going to enter the tag division and beat every team in handicap matches. His ego can no longer be fed by one wrestler at a time.

Slickster 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Why on Earth would they book the false finish, cheating to win and arrogant open challenge like that, when Regal and Tajiri are the faces, and La Resistance the heels? Because Regal is treated like Eddie Guererro: it's OKAY when his team cheats. And it's also funny that the referee actually cared about who the legal man was (for the first time since 1995). MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 It's horrendous in kayfabe how a "superhero" tag team (albeit a low card team) is booked THAT MUCH weaker than a formidable upper-midcarder and his string-bean manager.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2005 Am I the only one who thought that if anything, HHH sold too much last night. I mean if he's on a rampage that's going to make him able to beat Batista, he shouldn't be getting beat down for ten minutes by two guys who can barely make it on Raw. Compare how quickly Austin beat down Dean and Maven to what HHH did with Hurricane and Rosey to see how the WWE always makes the heels sell way more than they should.
