* - National game

Christ that's a ton of 4 PM games they got this year.

I'm probably going to a few games this year, I bet I'll probably see about 50 fights between drunks if I go to the Dallas one since its a Monday night game...

How many hungover people will be trekking to the Linc on New Years Day? That's going to be a logistical nightmare in Philly with the Mummers Day Parade and an Eagles game...

Who do you see beating them? Because I can't see any of those teams doing it.

Denver looks to be a loss, maybe KC as well. And I could definitely see Reid not playing starters again if they get HFA locked up early...

If KC's defense is anything like it was last season then the Eagles can outscore them.

Denver is alright but I mean just not as good as The Eagles.

I was thinking maybe the last couple of games they might lose.

The thing that worries me is that I don't think they'll be challenged enough just like last season.

Cowboys' schedule is a kind of a nightmare from my perspective as a season ticketholder. Decent schedule from the perspective of how their chances are this year, though. How the bloody hell did they get two Monday nighters and a Sunday night game, too? That's surprising.

Cowboys and Seattle? Are you serious?

I thought you'd come up with something like Atlanta.

realworlds makes sense. But Dallas and Seattle?

We'll bitch slap Dallas again.

They are games that you expect the Eagles to win but due to over confidence and arrogance they will lose.

I don't remember them getting overconfident and arrogant last season...

So this is the time of year we all get optimistic about our team's chances, eh? I've been able to correctly predict Green Bay's W-L record with about a 1 or 2 game margin of error the past few years, and I usually pick them to go somewhere between 10-6 and 12-4. This year with Minnesota's upgrades and Green Bay being very thin on defense, I don't expect them to do any better than they did last year, but no worse than 7-9. I think having Favre around can at least power them to .500 by the end of the year, though. The one thing I like about this schedule is that there's no ridiculously extended and harsh road trips like last year (not like homefield advantage means anything anymore... hope that changes this upcoming season), and with the exception of the Moss-less Vikings, the inconsistent Saints and Seahawks, and obviously Philly, the schedule is loaded with great defenses and shitty offenses, which obviously helps the Pack's chances since their strength relies primarily on offense.

Here's hoping to a Green Bay-Indianapolis Super Bowl if I want a championship this year. Oh, and avoiding a playoff game in Philly would be nice, too. Getting revenge on Atlanta on their home turf for the disaster at Lambeau in the `02 playoffs would be sweet also.

2 SNF games, 2 MNF games. Its too early to say this is a ?-? schedule but it looks like it could go either way. The Ravens will be doing a lot of traveling with no back to back home games until week 15-16. And a bye week in week 3 is just..gay.

Having GB and MN out of the NFC North portion of their schedule at home helps a bit, and playing DET/CHI on the road wont be that bad.

Christ. I do NOT like this schedule in the least. We get Baltimore and NE on the road. Plus Pittsburgh and SD and Houston & Jax twice which I hate cause they always play us tough.

I see an 11-5 or 12-4 season this year.

On the contrary. I spy at least 12-13 wins on that schedule for Minnesota.

No excuse to lose the NFC North division title this year, really. On paper, they look like the strongest team in the NFC. And with the exception of Pittsburgh and maybe Baltimore and Carolina, those games are all very, very winnable.

Doubt them being the strongest team in the NFC. I'd like to see what Culpepper does without Moss, and Tice will blow a couple games coaching-wise.

The 2005 schedule for the three time Superbowl champs:

Sep 8 Oakland 9:00pm *

Sep 18 @Carolina 1:00pm

Sep 25 @Pittsburgh 4:15pm

Oct 2 San Diego 1:00pm

Dec 11 @Buffalo 1:00pm

Dec 17 Tampa Bay 1:30pm

Dec 26 @N.Y. Jets 9:00pm *

Jan 1 Miami 1:00pm

The bye week is at least on a better week this year instead of Week 3 like last year. A pretty good run of road games to start the year; at Pitt, at Carolina, at Atlanta at Denver (which I'm surprised wasn't at least a Sunday night game, because I've heard a lot of interest about how the Pats would fare with Vick). Then there's the usual embarassment of Peyton, and it seems like all the divisional games are in the second half of the season. A pretty tough schedule all around and with all the changes the Pats will go through this year, I'll say 13-3 or 12-4

The last four games I do not like. On the bright side, I doubt Vick will do well at Solidier Field in December. I can see him pulling a hamstring.

They may go 8-8.

I think having Mike Tice has the head coach, takes away 1-2 wins.

New Orleans doesnt deserve a MNF slot. At least Dallas, NYG and Washington have an excuse.

WEEK 1: Bears @ Skins 1:00

WEEK 2: Skins @ Dallas, 9:00 (Monday Night)

WEEK 3: BYE

WEEK 4: Seahawks @ Skins 1:00

WEEK 5: Wash @ Denver 4:00

WEEK 6: Wash @ KC 1:00

WEEK 7: SF @ Wash, 1:00

WEEK 9: Philly @ Wash, 8:30 (ESPN)

WEEK 11: Oakland @ Wash, 1:00

WEEK 12: SD @ Wash, 1:00

WEEK 13: Wash @ Rams, 4:00

WEEK 14: Wash @ Arizona, 4:00

WEEK 15: Dallas @ Wash, 1:00

WEEK 16: NYG @ Wash, 1:00

WEEK 17: Wash @ Philly, 4:15

I don't like having to play on the road BACK TO BACK against Denver & Kansas City, as both places are tough to win at. The week 3 bye sucks, and makes it virtually useless. Other then that, I don't dislike the schedule much. I like ending with three division games. The Skins also suck in primetime, so playing Dallas on MNF is kind of scary considering the Skins can outplay the Cowboys in ever statistical category, yet find away to lose the game.
