Unanswered WWF/E Questions

Recommended Posts

What was the point of The Union? They were around for about two weeks, and all carried 2x4's to the ring.

As well, why did Shawn Michaels have the right to steal Benoit's Wrestlemania contract, sign it, and get a match? His punishment was actually getting a shot at the title.

edit...double post, so another question...

Does anyone get tossed around more in the WWE then the bellringing dude? Anytime anyone gets a chair, he gets launched.

J

A funny bit would be him having a closed chair on his lap the whole night, and having to give it up early in the show, then getting launched later by someone else.

How does HHH constantly get a sledgehammer under the ring, or how do any of them guys get any of their special stuff under the ring? What ring crew needs a bowling ball bag, fake trees, stop signs, and the like?

Cause...even though he had failed at winning it about 4 times before that...HE WAS GONNA DO IT THIS TIME

Because that ring crew is prepared for any shit that might go down.

Why are there trash cans under the ring?

How come every "random" fan they choose to go in the ring is stacked?

When a women is pregnant and she is thrown into something, why does she always lose the baby?

Why is the people's elbow such a "big move" when it NEVER got a pin? (That I can remember.)

I remember one time Bradshaw and Raven were having a Hardcore Title match on Heat, and Bradshaw pulled a fucking canoe out from underneath the ring.

I wondered how that got there.

The people's elbow got the pin a lot. Rock's title win over HHH at Backlash 2000, his win over Hogan at WM18. The question I've always asked is "How the hell does the people's elbow get the pin when it's a fucking elbowdrop?"

For the Trash Cans under the ring...I figure it's for after the show, when they have to clean up the arena. For the fans that leave their trash on the floor.

IIRC...recently Eugene won the tag team titles using the People's Elbow.

My theory is that, when there's a Hardcore style match set up, ring techs are told to put extra items under the ring before the show.

Here's another question...how is it that wrestlers know EXACTLY when to come out from under the ring?

Because it is his special move, and he's perfected it so much that he knows the exact angle and velocity to use when delivering it, thus creating maximum impact good enough to secure a pinfall.

Maybe it just looks like a plain old elbow drop to your untrained eye, but The Rock has that fucker PERFECTED for maximum effectiveness.

How about when Eugene has used it for a finisher?

Why do wrestlers always tag in and out during table matches? If the only way to win is to put your opponents through a table, it would make sense for it to be a Texas Tornado style match.

Why does the referee just assume that the heels tagged when they switch in and out repeadetly behind his back, yet he will physically restrain a face if he didn't see the tag?

When a wrestler is hit by his partner by accident, or not at all and thinks he is...doesn't he check the video footage before confronting them the the show?

Or at least turn around and look at the replay on the Titantron before doing anything drastic.

Why do we see cops at the arena one week to arrest someone for trespassing or violating a restrainging order or whatever, but a day or week after an attempted homicide (Austin-HHH, NWO-Rock, Undertaker-whole bunch of people, etc.) law enforcement seems disinterested? And what about hitting people with chairs and ring bells? Could you get away with that in boxing or hockey or any other "sport" with no charges laid?

And why was everybody always terrified of Jake's snake Damien? All the poor thing ever did was try to slither the hell out of the ring.

Those referees are facist.

If you're gonna hide a weapon under the ring, why not a fucking shotgun? That'd put your opponent down for good.

Also, why the need to call people out to the ring? Can't you confront them backstage?

He's a wrestling idiot savant. Think Rain Main in wrestling boots and an inside-out jacket.

I think it's so they can humiliate the other guy in front of thousands of people.

Actually, that's not it at all. What you forget, since Rock's been gone so long, is that he had super powers. He was pretty much unpinnable and undefeatable. At WM XVII, Austin had to beat him up with a chair for about a half an hour to actually get a pinfall. The Rock was so magical that he could pin the soon-to-be Undisputed Champion with a DDT. And, as was proven at WM XVIII, Rock's super-powers were so strong, they could actually overcome Hogan's superpowers, allowing him to be invulnerable to the legdrop of doom.

...what is this, Dragonball Z all of a sudden?

...though, someone pretending to have that kind of power in wrestling would be a great comedy gimmick. Especially if he tried the hairstyle as well.

He drives it right into their sternum. Common man, get with the program. Hitting someone in the sternum takes the air right out of you and when you are already winded that fucker kills.

but a KAYAK?! Not even Vince McMahon would say "hey, guys, when you are putting that ring up, throw a kayak under there, I want to see the look on Raven's face! Can't put THAT in a shopping cart MOTHERFUCKER!"

Why does the referee just assume that the heels tagged when they switch in and out repeadetly behind his back, yet he will physically restrain a face if he didn't see the tag?

95% of the time when the faces tag behind the referee's back, both faces are still in the ring when the referee turns around, making it seem as though no tag could have possibly been made since the illegal man would have been on the apron already. To counter that, when the heels do the illegal switch, the legal man has gotten onto the apron, thus giving a referee the impression that they've made the tag.

Simple, really.

As an aside, when I referee I disallow the heel illegal tag unless they tell me beforehand they're doing the illegal switch spot.
