Living Anglelously 2005 Feedback~!

Recommended Posts

Great opening. I like Tony and Jesse running down the card to start the show. Hopefully this becomes a staple of PPVs from now on.

Both tag matches were fun to read. Patty, do you teach classes in match writing or something? I'd like to learn how to paint word pictures as well as you.

“NED IS GAY! NED IS GAY!” chant a few bigoted fans, who probably make it a point to steer clear of West Hollywood.

“Ask your mom about how gay I really am!!” Ned screams at the top of his lungs, again nursing his neck.

“My Mom is dead, you insensitive prick!” a seventeen year old male fan in the front row shouts leading to chants of “Necrophilliac”

Gold.

- Nice little thing with Gene and Supes completely ruining his hotline buisness.

Edit more later.

OKay, I admit, that whole feedback thing for AM didn't work out so well. This time, we'll only divide it in two parts. Or three. Heh.

Great intro video package.

I'm liking this preshow deal we have going on. Makes the anticipation for the PPV seem greater.

COLE

Well, it may look like Prince has actually improved his….

….and slapping on a rear chinlock.

COLE

*Sigh*

YES! That got a huge laugh out of me. I'm quite surprised that Brock tapped, but hey, what a cool submission move to tap to, eh? Anywho, fun opening match and really, who doesn't love Killings getting killed?

Good Hoff promo. I agree with whoever said it gave a Rock vibe.

The Chioda dance was outta nowhere...I like it! I love the way the Love Doctors are plucky babyfaces, and damn do they do that well. Sweet way to end (although I am trying to figure out what a 640 senton splash would be--does someone known do it?) and nice involvement of the ladies in the already clusterfuck tag match.

Damn, a very long intro to this match. Yeah, I can see the Shamrock/Rock comparisons.

Alf! Nice 'lil promo.

Fun match. The imagery you use Patty is amazing.

Good opening montage. Hopefully the match is as good. I'll continue this..tomorrow!

Jack Evans and someone else...Jerelle Clark? If you can count him as known.

20lbs is alot of weight to lose just to get quicker. Most athletes would just go for 5-10lbs because you will feel the effects with your lifting and shit. Trust me, I lose a good amount of weight real quick when I worked at T'R'U and until my body got use to the weight loss I was struggling with my endurance for awhile. I'm being too picky here though huh? Ah well, on to the match. Match is starting off too fast for my liking. There's no build, just straight into a NLS and EF-DDT? This match is hurting from not being proof-read. Alot of words placed twice in a row and some sentences not even finished before going on to the next one. PRetty good match although the flow didn't work all that well for me and I expected alot more out of Tony. Maybe its because I'm a mark for Brannigan's Law. Oh well.

Overall it was a pretty good PPV although I question the choice of having Crystal become the number one contender when Axel just beat her a month prior to this and there was a Hoff and Axel match-up waiting to happen. I also thought that at least one of Black-T should have picked up a win...least CWM picked up the win for The Original Elite.

Good card but it didn't live up to my expectations. I give the show a C+ nearing a B- and hey, The 70s Dude is the new X-Champ. Can't be mad about that.

I've been wanting to slim Brannigan down for the longest of time now. When I first started out the pic I used for my character was old school Jesse Ventura, and with me choosing 292 pounds because of the way J.R. said it during the Sting/Luger-Steiners match from Superbrawl I, it worked. But when I changed it to Rude, who is much more slimmer, I never bothered to change the weight. I put myself into a corner there and tried getting out of it by explaining the weight lost occured within the last few months, because nobody loses that much weight in a couple of weeks. So yeah, you put too much thought into it. Of course, it was Michael Cole who said, and he tends to say the stupidest of things so I have another out. :)

As for the spot mentioned, it was a homage to the Arn Anderson-Barry Windham match at Slamboree 1993, one of my favorite matches ever. Arn whips Windham into the corner and backdrops him out. Without re-watching the match, I can't remember if Windham takes a few punches or not, but he ducks a left and that's when Arn hits the DDT out of nowhere. It's one of the few spots I mark out for.

I'm not a great match writer like NYU, Patty, or Zack and the gang, so I apologize for any mistakes. And for the record, NGA co-wrote the match as well, the portion after Brannigan gets hit with his own piledriver.

You didn't mention me! I kid, I kid. Really, don't be that hard on yourself because we wouldn't have a tag division if it wasn't for you. I truly believe that. I love Brannigan and I love The New New Midnight Express as well. I don't know if I ever see The 70s Dude working with Black-T but I could definately see him chilling with The NNMX.

and while I'm thinking of it, I was surprised not to see a HR/Frankensteiners match at the PPV. The card was already stacked so I can understand there not being room for it, still...I was a tad surprised to not see it.

It's a 630, but yeah, Clark & Evans are the two most well-known practitioners of the move. It's a 450 with an extra rotation, flipping into a senton.

It would of happened had I not been in the main event and actually had time to write it. In all honestly, their match a few weeks back wasn't meant to go anywhere, I just lucked into a story when I had THR return during two NNMX-Frankies matches. The match will take place this week, but I'm not too happy with it. It isn't bad but the commentary is piss poor and the finish comes out of left field.

That's ok, I'm covering for Supes again this week and I just wrote that up. It aint the best in the world but it'll do on short notice.

If they use that match before having yours on then it'll look great heh
