Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 According to Cheap Ass Gamer, where numerous GameCrazy employees post, all older used games, as in systems older than Xbox, PS2, gameCube, DS, and PSP, will be on sale, 3 for $15 in order to clear inventory. I'm pretty sure it's a nationwide deal. Scroby can likely confirm or deny, and I'm trying to get a hold of my friend Daniel from my local GC to ask him about it. Sadly, the only way it appears I will be able to cash in on this deal is to trade in games for credit, which I am very reluctant to do. I figured I'd give you guys a heads up though since I'm sure some of you will be able to make some good finds.

Jingus 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 Do they have a website or list of store locations so I could find the one closest to me?
Guest OSIcon Report post Posted April 25, 2005 There website is www.gamecrazy.com and there is a store locator there. Does this include GBA?
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2005 I found out that GBA games are excluded, but I believe Game Boy and GB Color games are eligible.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 For the people who do have a GameCrazy in their area, I was informed that the sale will now start on Thursday rather than Friday. Unfortunately, I cannot edit the title of the thread to reflect that.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 Dammit, this would have been the perfect time to flesh out my N64 collection...
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2005 I know how you feel. I haven't been to GC in a while, but they have a decent selection of older games, including NES and SNES. I really need to replace my SNES collection, which I sold off about 8 years ago to get a Nintendo 64, and I need to replace my 30 or so N64 games that my sister sold for drugs. I'm just hoping that since MoVal isn't a big city and I rarely ever see people checking out the old school games at our GC, there will be some good titles left when I get some cash. I can probably get my friend who works there to hold a couple, but that's it.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Alrighty, I'll let you guys in on it. Yeah were having a 3 for 15 bucks sale at the end of the month. This includes (if I remember right) Nintendo Super Nintendo N64 (thats a 50/50) Sony Playstation GB and GB color and Dreamcast. I don't think there is a price limit, I think its any 3 games for 15 bucks. So if you find like a 30 dollar game, you get it for 15 when you buy two other games. But don't quote me on that because they can change the rules before the actual sale takes place. But yeah, it happening so enjoy.

Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2005 Thanks PK. Just a heads up, if you don't find what you're looking for at GameCrazy, GameRush (which is to Blockbuster what GC is to Hollywood Video) has a deal where you can get any 5 PS1 games for $10 or 10 for $20, I believe. I'll have to check on the specifics.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 Apprently there's more to the deal than I first believed. Apprently if you want, you can do 6 games for 30 and 9 for 45....go and enjoy your buyings kiddies.
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2005 I was pretty sure that was the case. My GameCrazy has a damn good selection of NES, SNES, and N64 games, but I only have about $1.25 to my name. I have a $50 Wal-Mart gift card, but that doesn't do me any good. :-\ It's doubtful, but I hope there are still some decent games available when I get some more cash. I need to replace my N64 collection and expand my NES and SNES libraries. To anyone who takes advanatge of the sale, please post your finds. If you find some rare-ish RPGs that the employees haven't already scooped up, you could save a ton of money off the price you'd normally pay on eBay.
